The best classes in Animal Hospital can give you that much-needed boost to progress further in a run both solo and in a team. There’s classes that are great for beginners and then the strongest end-game classes to farm for. I’ll cover them all in my Animal Hospital class tier list and guide.

Animal Hospital Best Classes

Below you’ll find a list of individual ranking reasons for each class as well as their abilities. Note that you level a class by playing it and getting EXP, thus unlocking its bonus abilities and bonuses. Here are the tier ranking breakdowns:

  • S-Tier: The best classes in the game.
  • A-Tier: Second-best classes that either slightly less flexibile or slightly less powerful.
  • B-Tier: Niche-use classes or beginner ones.
  • C-Tier: Weaker classes.

S-Tier Classes

Surgeon• Combines the best of Doctor for sanity regen and Paramedic for speed which helps deal with emergencies
• The best free-to-play class in the gameLevel 1: Get sanity and a short speed boost after healing a patient
Level 2: The speed boost is longer (8s)
Level 3: Doubles the sanity gain and gain +10 bonus sanity
Secret Agent• Makes dealing with enemies and anomalies incredibly easy
• Plus you get better sanity and starter money than almost all classes
• The only downside is that it’s a Robux class and it’s expensiveStarts with a Gun

Level 1: Gun has 20 uses
Level 2: Gun has 30 uses and you get +10 bonus sanity
Level 3: Regenerate 1 Gun use each round and you get +20 bonus sanity

A-Tier Classes

Doctor• The best class to rush after beginner classes and the class you’ll use to farm Surgeon
• Massive sanity and sanity regen for long runsLevel 1: Recover 1 sanity when healing patients and you get +10 bonus sanity
Level 2: Increase sanity recovery when healing patients and you get +15 bonus sanity
Level 3: Increase sanity recovery when healing patients and you get +20 bonus sanity
Psychologist• The best beginner class in the game
• Once you learn all the anomalies and other sanity loss events via our guide linked above you’ll drastically lessen the downside
• Then you’re just a class that doubles all sanity increases which is really strong if you get access to constant coffee and food items
• Even if you make a mistake and trigger a sanity loss the 15% will save you 1 in 6-7 times on average (Don’t make that joke)Level 1: All sanity increases and decreases are doubled
Level 2: 7.5% chance to ignore sanity loss
Level 3: 15% chance to ignore sanity loss
Paramedic• An amazing beginner class for dealing with emergency events like rituals, patients on fire, the ambulance event, etc.Starts with Large Run/Speed Cola

Level 1: Cola has 6 uses
Level 2: Cola has 9 uses
Level 3: Get +1 Cola use each round
Head Nurse• A Robux class that isn’t a must-have but is quite strong on Level 3
• The Level 3 makes you really flexibile but the first two levels aren’t that good
• Still you have great sanity and starting money to carry you through 2 levels as you farmLevel 1: +3 max inventory capacity
Level 2: +10 bonus sanity
Level 3: Start each round with all items

B-Tier Classes

Security• A situationally powerful class since the Taser is weaker than the Agent’s Gun
• That said, Security is F2P and you get some nice starting cash
• That said, if you’re playing solo you don’t really need SecurityStarts with Taser

Level 1: Taser has 5 uses
Level 2: Taser has 6 uses
Level 3: Get +1 Taser use each round
Secretary• Quite a decent starting class to use and farm for the class you like
• The sanity regen is really nice, especially if you’re playing solo
• If you’re playing in a team make sure to work the check-in deskLevel 1: Recover 1 Sanity when checking in patients
Level 2: +5 bonus sanity
Level 3: +10 bonus sanity

C-Tier Classes
