Minecraft PS4 still doesn't have a release date; it didn't pass certification.

The PS4 version of Minecraft went into certification (final QA testing) at Sony last week, but port developer 4J Studios has revealed it didn't pass.

Sony found some issues we have to fix in their final test of #MinecraftPS4 :( We're fixing, but we need to go through the process again.

We don't know whether the Xbox One version of Minecraft will release in August as previously announced, or if it will be held back to match the PS4 version. The latter seems quite unlikely, so Xbox One fans have something to feel a bit smug about. Still, we don't have a firm release date for that, either.

If you own the PS3 or Xbox 360 version of Minecraft you'll be able to upgrade for $5 or regional equivalent, which is pretty sweet. You will be able to bring your saves over to the newer consoles, apparently, although the opposite isn't true and cross-platform importing isn't possible.

The Vita version hasn't been dated yet but recent rumblings suggest September is pretty likely. Don't go taking that as gospel, mind.

Thanks, Shack News.
