The kid-friendly Monster Hunter spin-off looks much cuter than any Monster Hunter we've played.

Monster Hunter Stories looks adorable in this new trailer

This new trailer shows off the game's turn-based battle system and character interactions, albeit in Japanese.

The game looks extremely different from any other games in the series, as it's intended to appeal to a new audience.

Monster Hunter Stories releases in Japan on October 8, as will its compatible amiibo figurines. A western launch date has not actually been announced yet, but it seems like a fairly safe bet considering how popular the franchise is on 3DS.
