It's been a year since DayZ developers made a standalone version of the mod that was originally part of ARMA 2.

Developers at Bohemia Interactive along with director Dean "Rocket" Hall have released a video celebrating the first birthday of the standalone version of DayZ.

The video is kind of a retelling of the events that preceded the launch of the standalone build and features some insight into the development process.
