John Ryan, one of the lead story writers for Guild Wars 2, has left ArenaNet to work with Bungie on Destiny.

Ryan announced the news on Twitter, stating his job as the "editor, loremaster" for Destiny begins next week.

Tomorrow is my last day here at ArenaNet. Next week, I'll be heading over to Bungie to be their new editor/loremaster.

He joined AreaNet in 2010 and was one of the main writers of the game's dialogue, lore and narrative.

Ryan previously worked as a writer for MSNBC.com, Microsoft Game Studios, MSN Games, and Xbox Live.
