The Last Campfire: a new indie title from Hello Games
No Man’s Sky creators Hello Games announced The Last Campfire at The Game Awards on Thursday and it looks super sweet.
Channelling a Journey vibe, we see a small hooded character sailing and exploring a small, procedurally generated world in what Hello Games is calling a “short”, similar to a Pixar short. The Last Campfire looks to be single-player or co-op, much like No Man’s Sky, where you can explore the wilderness, ruins, and sail down a few rivers with your friends.

The world of The Last Campfire looks colourful, aesthetically pleasing and gives off a real heart-warming vibe. Sean Murray announced that Steven Burgess and Chris Symonds, the creatives behind LostWinds, joined Hello Games and The Last Campfire is very much “their baby”.
The Last Campfire is a Hello Games Short. Like Pixar shorts it’s a way to foster creativity and new voices in the studio.
Steven and Chris are the two devs. They were also the creative minds behind LostWinds, and are the nicest folks you’ll meet. pic.twitter.com/fYUcjvRZJj
