Dropsy looks terrifying and I don't care what anyone else thinks.
Publisher Devolver Digital describes Dropsy as "a point and click hugventure", which chronicles the eponymous clown's "journey of self-discovery through a story that harnesses powerful themes of love and kindness".
In the wake up a circus fire that shatters his life, Dropsy finds himself without allies and coping with a seriously-ill father. His story involves helping others, hugging strangers and talking to animals. It's all experienced via non-linear series of adventures.
That all sounds pretty nice, right? But just you watch this trailer.

You can't tell me this game isn't going to be traumatising as heck, even for those of us who made it through to adulthood without a permanent horror of clowns.
Dropsy arrives on September 10 for Linux, Mac, PC and mobile devices.
