Videogaming247.com has learned that Sony has contacted online gaming retailer, Shopto.net, and has stated that due to copyright infringement, the site is no longer able to honour its offer of a free Sackboy figurine with every LittleBigPlanet pre-order. A t-shirt has been offered instead.

"Unfortunately Sony have been in touch with us this morning to inform us that due to copyright / image issues they are unable to provide us with the LittleBigPlanet Sackboy figurines originally promised for launch," says a mail sent out to punters today.

"As a replacement we will provide you with LittleBigPlanet T Shirts. These will be sent with (or before) your delivery of the game."

We're checking this with Sony now.
