Destiny: The Taken King is bare hours away and it is absolutely permitted to stick the soundtrack preview on repeat for the rest of the wait.

Destiny: The Taken King's soundtrack launches alongside the expansion today but to whet your appetite Bungie has released another little sampler.

This one pulls together a couple of different themes you'll hear throughout Storyx (that's what the cool kids call the main story campaign of The Taken King) and gives you a bit of a feel for how the orchestral score has evolved since vanilla, The Dark Below and House of Wolves.

Bungie founding member Marty O'Donnell laid the foundation of Destiny's dramatic soundscape, but Michael Salvatori, C Paul Johnson and Skye Lewin are responsible for the latest efforts. It's interesting to compare and contrast, I think.

Anyway, The Taken King launches later today and me and my clan are massively hyped. We've probably contributed a good 50% of the plays on this thing.
