Xbox One will see several new triple-a IP launch across its life-span, according to new tweets out of Microsoft's Phil Spencer. New IP is critical to the console, he says.

It follows Microsoft's acquisition of the Gears of War IP, with development of the new Xbox One shooter handed to Black Tusk Studios. These new job posts suggest it'll be an emotional, character-led story.

Now, Spencer has reflected on the deal and other new projects in the works for Xbox One on Twitter. First, he responded to a fan asking for more new IP on the console.

@pedrohasser22 As you see more of Quantum Break, @SunsetOverdrive and unannounced hopefully you'll see new IP magic again.

@TuamJohn New IP is critical. Launch of XB1 to now and I like the new IP we invested in: Ryse, Crimson Dragon, Max, Loco with SO, QB coming

@mos6142 I always hope everything we ship turns big of course. We have games in development with same scale and potential as those.

Gamers then started asking Spencer for insight into Black Tusk Studios and the new Gears of War title, and stressed that the studio had been incubating ideas for whenever Microsoft decided to announce the team's first game, and stressed that the studio's E3 2013 tech demo was merely to announce the company, not a new game.

He added:

@AkkaksMichael We did nothing to scrap the work BT had done prior to Gears IP acquisition.

@Steverulez @Hindle89 I'm glad you liked it. BT is very talented and I have confidence they can become an industry leading studio.
