Xbox Live went down, and Snoop Dogg couldn't play Madden. Will he jump ship for Sony?

Xbox Live went down for over seven hours today, prompting rapper Snoop Dogg to take to Instagram today to vent his frustration.

According to the Xbox Live Status page during the outage, the service was experiencing issues with "in-game matchmaking, cloud storage, finding friends, Game DVR, leaderboards, avatar editing, or pictures".

This matches with Snoop Dogg's description of the problem:

"A message to Xbox One or Microsoft or whoever the f**k: y'all f**king server is f**king whack, man. Y'all going to make me switch to PlayStation if y'all don't get this s**t fixed," he said.

"It's that difficult to play somebody online. What the f**k is you doing Bill Gates? Fix your s**t, man."

It looks like Snoop Dogg was trying to play a few rounds of Madden, as he also called out EA in his text description, and included a football icon.

Message to xbox1 n ea server fix your s**t or playstation here we come ??✨??

Apart from a lengthy downtime in December Xbox Live has been doing pretty well recently, although some games have had individual outages. Another downtime so close to the last is a pain, though. I wonder if Snoop ordered a PS4...?

According to Xbox Support problems should now be resolved; power cycle your console and modem if you're still having problems.
