League of Legends might not be the most lucrative tournament title in eSports any more, but it's certainly not a mug's game either.

The 2014 League of Legends World Championship boasts a total prize pool of over $2 million.

The prizes are outlined in the tournament's rule book [PDF], as noted by Gamespot, and include a whopping $1 million grand prize for the victorious team.

Second place will score $250,000, with third and forth place receiving $150,000. The rest of the top eight will score $75,000 each.

The first time it fronted million dollar prize pools, League of Legends set records for eSports - but Dota 2 has since taken its crown. The recent International had a total prize pool of over $10 million, with the majority raised via fan purchases of The Compendium.
