Capcom delivered a mainline entry in the Resident Evil franchise this year, and they are switching gears to remake a classic RE game. As expected before, Resident Evil Code Veronica Remake has been announced at the Summer Game Fest. When Is Resident Evil: Veronica Coming Out?

One of the best Resident Evil games of all time, Code Veronica, is getting a remake and is scheduled for a 2027 release. Capcom officially announced Resident Evil Code Veronica remake at the Summer Game Fest 2026 event.

Since the remake was just announced, we will have to stay patient for a few more months until Capcom sets a release date in stone. Resident Evil: Veronica Remake will be released on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5|5 Pro.

Is There a Trailer for Resident Evil: Veronica Remake?

Capcom shared the first trailer for Resident Evil: Veronica at the Summer Game Fest event. You can watch the new trailer for the Code Veronica Remake below:

In the latest trailer of Resident Evil: Veronica, Claire Redfield visits the apartment of her brother, Chris Redfield. It is a ground-up remake, and the visuals are very reminiscent of the modern RE games, such as Resident Evil: Requiem. Towards the end, we get to see Hunk having an encounter with Claire.

Resident Evil: Veronica Gameplay Details

Unfortunately, Capcom hasn’t revealed the gameplay of Resident Evil: Code Veronica remake yet. As we mentioned earlier, Capcom has just confirmed that the remake is in active development and shared a trailer teasing the next-gen visual fidelity of the game. But we can expect a complete overhaul of the gameplay, and it will be very similar to the latest Resident Evil titles.
