Stellar Blade Blood Rain
We knew a sequel was coming, but few expected Stellar Blade 2 Blood Rain to make its debut at SGF 2026. Shift Up unveiled the first trailer for the follow-up, which continues the story beyond the events of the original game while introducing a brand-new protagonist. The brief showcase hinted at a darker chapter for the series and immediately became one of the show’s biggest reveals.
Final Fantasy VII Revelation
Summer Game Fest saved its biggest announcement (not so) for last with the reveal of Final Fantasy VII Revelation, the third entry in the Final Fantasy VII Remake trilogy. The debut trailer offered a first look at the next chapter, while director Naoki Hamaguchi confirmed a simultaneous launch across all platforms, including Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2 on day one. Alien: Isolation 2
Creative Assembly dropped a new trailer for Alien: Isolation 2 at SGF, and it looks every bit as nerve-racking as fans hoped. This time, the action unfolds across a station on a planet rather than a spaceship, opening up a larger setting while keeping the tension firmly intact. Still terrifying.
Control Resonant (Again)
A good song, the amazing gameplay, and another trailer for Control Resonant. Well, the game is coming out in September, so more excitement (woo).

Cuphead Sequel and Mighty Cuphead Adventure
Studio MDHR has officially announced a Cuphead sequel. Details are still limited since development is in its early stages, but the studio revealed that a small team is also working on a completely different project. We even got a brief first look at it: Mighty Cuphead Adventure, a retro-inspired 8-bit action platformer shooter that brings the Cuphead universe into a new style.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin
One of the biggest announcements at Summer Game Fest 2026 was the reveal that PlatinumGames is developing Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin. The teaser was light on details and gameplay, but the pairing of PlatinumGames’ fast-paced action expertise with The Last Ronin’s darker story instantly turned heads. For now, there’s not much to go on, but it’s already one of the most exciting projects on the horizon.
Lords of the Fallen 2
CI Games brought the trailer for Lords of the Fallen 2 to SGF, confirming that the sequel will launch on Steam this fall. While details were kept under wraps, the reveal marked the return of the dark fantasy action RPG series with its first official look.
Virtua Fighter Crossroads
RGG Studio finally unveiled the next chapter in the series, confirming its title as Virtua Fighter Crossroads. The new trailer placed a surprising focus on the story, teasing a gritty narrative centered on the Chinese mafia alongside the franchise’s signature martial arts action. Street Fighter 6 Year 4 DLC Characters
Street Fighter 6 revealed its Year 4 character lineup, bringing four new fighters to the roster: Yasmine, Arjun, Bosch, and the biggest surprise of all, Tifa Lockhart from Final Fantasy VII. Tifa’s arrival as a guest character instantly stole the spotlight and is sure to be one of the most talked-about additions in the game’s post-launch support.
Saw Genesis
Set a century before Jigsaw’s reign, Saw Genesis, the asymmetrical horror title pits three Accused against a single Judge in a 3v1 battle for survival. Players trapped in the maze must cooperate to escape a deadly network of traps, while the Judge oversees their grim “rehabilitation” from the shadows. A release date has yet to be announced.
gen Atlas
Gen Atlas was revealed as the next project from legendary game designer Fumito Ueda, marking his first new game since The Last Guardian. Best known for classics like Ico and Shadow of the Colossus, Ueda is heading into science fiction this time with a mysterious new adventure that features towering robotic giants players can climb. The brief reveal showcased the same striking sense of scale, atmosphere, and emotion that defined Ueda’s earlier work, making Gen Atlas one of the most intriguing announcements of the show.
Mafia: The Old Country DLC, Man of Honor
I loved the story of Mafia: The Old Country, so seeing Ennio again looked a bit exciting during SGF 2026. Well, the DLC named Man of Honor will arrive soon.
Blood Message
NetEase Games and 24 Entertainment showcased another trailer for Blood Message, the single-player action adventure set during China’s Tang Dynasty. RuneScape: Dragonwilds
RuneScape: Dragonwilds received a new announcement trailer at Summer Game Fest 2026 that confirmed a September 15 release date and an Xbox Series X|S launch. Hot Wheels Infinite Rush
Hot Wheels: Infinite Rush raced onto the Summer Game Fest stage with a debut announcement trailer, revealing an open-world take on the iconic toy car franchise. Developed by Milestone, the studio behind the Hot Wheels Unleashed games, Infinite Rush launches on September 24, 2026, for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, and Nintendo Switch 2. Priced at $49.99, it is yet another major release joining an already crowded September lineup.
Clutch
One racing game will never suffice at a game showcase, so Clutch comes in Clutch? Clutch made its SGF debut with a story-focused trailer that introduced several of its key characters. Developed by former creators of the Forza Horizon series, Clutch aims to bring a fresh spin to the open-world racing genre when it launches in spring 2027.

CrossFire
A team of former Call of Duty developers unveiled a new CrossFire game backed by Smilegate. Unlike the series’ multiplayer roots, this is a single-player, story-driven experience built around a dynamic cover system that turns the environment into a key part of combat. Yes, yes, more singleplayer trailers in Summer Game Fest 2026 announcements list. You love to see it.
The Blood of Dawnwalker
The exceptional visuals-driven game got another trailer, now at SGF 2026. Are you excited for The Blood of Dawnwalker? This is made by the people who made The Witcher 3, so I am for sure.
