What is the Point of No Return in Stalker 2
Screenshot by Prima Games“Down Below” marks the point of no return in Stalker 2. Once you begin this mission, any incomplete or pending side quests will become permanently unavailable.
Even if you return to the zone after triggering the point of no return, NPCs who previously offered side quests will no longer provide them. With that in mind, it is best to wrap up any side missions before starting this critical part of the game.
How Long to Beat All Main Missions in Stalker 2
Completing Stalker 2 typically takes around 35 to 40 hours. However, the exact time can vary depending on factors such as the difficulty level you choose, your proficiency with FPS games, and your experience with Stalker games.
The game provides plenty of save slots, allowing you to save before making significant decisions. If you are unhappy with the outcome of a choice, you can reload and try again. While this adds flexibility, it may also increase your total playtime as you explore alternate outcomes.

Are Side Missions Missable in Stalker 2?
Screenshot by Prima GamesYes, many side missions in Stalker 2 are tied to NPCs and can be missed if those NPCs die—either by your actions or other in-game events. Additionally, certain main story decisions can lock you out of potential side missions, especially if you make a difficult or irreversible choice.
For instance, during the main mission “A Needle in the Haystack,” if you kill Squint before he offers you the task of finding an artifact for him, you will still be able to loot his body and obtain the Ward Sensors. However, by doing so, you will miss out on the opportunity to play the “A Piece of Cake” side mission.
Exclusive Mission
The Deluxe and Ultimate Edition owners of Stalker 2 get an exclusive mission called “Seek, and you shall find”. This becomes available when the game tells you to check on the Private Stash after returning from A Needle in the Haystack mission.
All the base game owners of Stalker 2 will not be able to access this mission.
