Keep An Eye On This Kaldheim MTG Commander As Its Value Is About To Spike
Commander is the most fluid Magic: The Gathering format because the landscape changes with every new set. Old cards, once made irrelevant, can rise from the ashes with the launch of a new set that happens to include a ton of cards relevant to their abilities, and this is very much the case with Magda, Brazen Outlaw.
This mono-red Dwarf Commander from Kaldheim has great synergy with Dwarves and Dragons, which just happen to be huge creature types in the upcoming The Hobbit set.
So, keep an eye on Magda and her price, because when we enter preview season for The Hobbit, certain cards may have a major impact on her value if they enable powerful new combos.
An Army Of Angry Dwarves Is Coming
To first understand why Magda, Brazen Outlaw's price is set to move, we have to look at the card's abilities. Magda grants all other Dwarves +1/0, and whenever a Dwarf is tapped, you create a treasure token.
Then, when you sacrifice five treasure tokens, you can search your library for an artifact or Dragon card, put it onto the battlefield, then shuffle your library.
On top of these fairly powerful abilities, Magda only costs two mana (1R, 1C), which lends nicely to the aggressive nature of mono-red Commander decks.
The issue with a lot of Magda decks right now is that they're expensive for newer players to build, which, in turn, keeps them from picking her up and giving her a fair shot. With the new wave of Dwarf and Dragon cards coming in The Hobbit, there are sure to be plenty of new ways to build around Magda, even if you are limited to mono-red or colorless cards.
There are currently 147 Dwarf-type cards in MTG, around 65 of which are mono-red, which isn't that many considering the game has been around for over 30 years. The Hobbit could realistically drop another 50+ Dwarf cards into the Commander pool, and if a large portion of these are mono-red, then I can see a ton of players building new Magda decks with the market somewhat aided by more options at a lower cost.
Staples of the mono-red Dwarf builds will still be required; cards such as Torbran, Seven Dwarves, Vault Robber, and Gimli, Counter of Kills won't necessarily see their prices affected unless a wave of players starts buying them without warning.

Posts By Paul DiSalvoWhat Price Could Magda Hit, Realistically?
Looking at the current trend for Magda, Brazen Outlaw, the price has already climbed, with the card's value sitting at $1.96 at the start of April and climbing as high as $2.61 on June 10. A sharp rise also occurred on May 10, when the value rose to $2.40 from $2.01, coinciding with MagicCon Las Vegas, where The Hobbit was first previewed, and a few cards were shown off.
Players will often jump on tribal Commanders like Magda when a new set revolves heavily around their creature type. This causes seemingly random price spikes before more info on a set is fully confirmed.
While the card has slipped a little back down to $2.39, all signs suggest there has been more interest in Magda, Brazen Outlaw since the initial preview of The Hobbit, and when we get firmer details of more cards, this could climb further still.
However, I am not expecting this card to suddenly skyrocket to $10 or more, but it could go so far as to repeat the same 20% increase it's already achieved a few times, which would put it at around $3 to $4.
