Insomniac's Wolverine Shares The Same World As Spider-Man, But Don't Expect A Crossover
We all know that Marvel loves a crossover these days, and if you didn't know, I only have to point to Avengers Doomsday coming out later this year to prove myself correct. It feels like you can't have a Marvel product these days without a different Marvel property sticking its nose in for a quick cameo to please comic book nerds, but games have been an exception.
Marvel's Spider-Man and its subsequent sequels kept things primarily rooted within the Spider-Man universe, even though Insomniac couldn't resist sticking the Avengers tower in the middle of New York City. Yes, I know it's accurate to the world of Marvel, but it was still a bit garish for me. Nevertheless, Marvel's Spider-Man had Spider-Man heroes fighting Spider-Man villains, so I was happy.
Don't Expect Spider-Man To Show Up In Marvel's Wolverine

If it was any other Marvel product, we'd probably see Spider-Man swing into Marvel's Wolverine at some point, make a funny quip and then swing away, but Insomniac wants you to know that this won't be the case.
In an interview with IGN following the game's most recent gameplay showcase at this month's slightly tepid State of Play, creative director Marcus Smith and game director Mike Daly were questioned about the game, and whether there will be any mention of Marvel's Spider-Man in Marvel's Wolverine, seeing as though it's been confirmed the two characters share the same universe.

It's also unlikely that Spider-Man would feature in such a blood-soaked game, since killing and maiming isn't quite in Spider-Man's wheelhouse.
