While you're adventuring in Metaphor: ReFantazio, you'll find yourself encountering strange little orb enemies called Elmentas. They're rare, often only one appearing in a dungeon or area at a time, and what's more frustrating is that they can be tough to beat for a couple of reasons.

Fortunately for you, we've got everything you need to know right here, covering which Elmenta you can find where, how to defeat them all, and why you'd want to bother tackling these strange enemies to begin with.

What Are Elmenta?

Elmenta are rare elemental enemies found in dungeons or encountered in battle while on the Gauntlet Runner. These enemies will try and run from you when they see you, so you'll have to chase them down.

You should aim to get in a few hits before entering a Squad Battle as you want the Elmenta to be stunned for its first turn. This is because when it is able to use its first Turn Icon, it will immediately flee. The more Turn Icons you can give yourself, the better.

Elmentas are well worth tackling as the reward for defeating them is a great deal more MAG and money than you would get from any normal encounter, as well as more EXP.

If you have Steal, you can also steal rare items from Elmentas such as valuable gems worth selling.

Elmenta Locations And Weaknesses

Below we've listed each Elmenta, its weaknesses and resistances, and where we found it. There's a chance they're also found in other locations and we didn't spot them as they're so rare and flee so quickly, but we'll update this guide as we come across more.
