Metaphor: ReFantazio - Everfrost Forest Walkthrough

Through the Everfrost Forest we go, meandering between evergreens in yet another of Metaphor: ReFantazio's numerous optional dungeons. If you're here, you're probably searching for Icebeast Chimenzahn, whose guide we have prepped for you at the bottom of this guide. Prepare for a challenging hike through Nord Mine in Metaphor: ReFantazio.

Everfrost West

Speak with the Portly Adventurer on your way into the Everfrost Forest. His suggestion for strong Fire magic is a sound one, but don't worry overmuch about his warning toward the noctiluca enemies, as you'll be cleaving right through them without squad battles.

Past the Portly Adventurer, take a left at the fork. Cut down the weak wolves and then travel southbound for a Gold Beetle as well as the first of the Valmo enemies we need to kill in order to summon the bounty boss. You'll probably be able to clear them without a fight, too.

There's a Light Elmenta near here, so don't let it get away! Use Dark magic to take it out before it flees.

From the Valmo and Light Elmenta, follow this path north until it forks north and south. Go north, carve through those noctilucas we were warned about, and continue north. At this next, northern, fork, choose the northwest path.

As you continue, you will encounter a large enemy followed by a bunch more wolves. Once again, there's a fork: north and south. And, once again, go north. By now, it should become clear that we're clearing out the Everfrost Forest's map from left to right.

Everfrost Central

Keep at it. Now, we're around the top-central part of the forest. Kill the second Valmo and grab the Emerald, a nearby blue item. ​​​​​​

Take either path south and roughly parallel to the topmost portion of the map to find an excellent blue item, an Ancient God's Fang weapon for Warriors. From here, go further south; again, our aim is to stay around the center of the Everfrost Forest as we do.

Plateau, our save-offering cat friend, is in the central area south of the previous one. This is fitting, as the red blinking quest marker here leads to the Valmo that, once killed, will summon forth the boss, Icebeast Chimenzahn.

Everfrost East

After you've dealt with the boss, travel due east from Plateau. All we're really doing at this point is filling out the rest of the map, which will (of course) all be along the right-side, eastern, line.

Start by going south to the other red blinking marker for a treasure chest with another of Neuras's relics. Sweet. Let's use the location of the relic, Panhandled Ore, as something of a waypoint for the remaining treasures.

• Northwest of the relic, that blue item marker on your map contains a Heavenly Water for purification purposes.
• Southeast of the relic is the Talisman of the Avian, for summoning experiments.
• Lastly, southwest of it is the Strength White Mask for masked dancer experiments.

With that, you will have completed Everfrost Forest!
