Status ailments always add an added layer of depth to RPGs, but we tend to appreciate them less when they're actively turning the tide of battle against us. Metaphor: ReFantazio has a whole host of them that can put a damper on your day. Thankfully, there are as many ways to cure them.

While the game smartly introduces these ailments through a tutorial, it can be tedious to keep track of them, and especially tedious to remember all the ways to cure them. If you're having trouble with a particularly debilitating debuff, this guide should get your team back in good health.

Physical Ailments Versus Mental Ailments

First, a quick primer on an important aspect. Ailments are split into two categories: Physical and Mental.

Mental status ailments will recover at the end of a battle even if they weren't cured prior to its conclusion. These include Daze, Charm, Forget, Sleep, Rage, and Anxiety.

Unlike other ailments, Anxiety can occur prior to battle. This happens when you're ambushed by an enemy. It also has increased sources during fights; Anxiety is inflicted whenever a character receives a critical hit.

On the other hand, physical status ailments will still be in effect after battle. Physical debuffs include Poison, Paralysis, Malady, Hex, Burn, and Frostbite.
