There's Still Time To Pick Up Your Metaphor: ReFantazio Pre-Order
Atlus kicked off 2024 in a big way, not only via Persona 3 Reload but also Unicorn Overlord shortly after that. There's more to come from the RPG studio too as the arrival of another title that promises to eat up tens, if not hundreds of hours of your time if you let it is now right around the corner. That game is Metaphor: ReFantazio. Atlus's highly-anticipated Persona-style title will be released on October 11, 2024, and if you want to make sure you're among the first to play it, there's still time to place a pre-order.
Before you do that, you will need to decide just how excited you are about ReFantazio's arrivak. Like most games, the upcoming Atlus joint has more than one edition to choose from. Only two, so not the toughest decision in the world, but there are quite a few differences between them. There's the Standard Edition of the game which comes with your copy of ReFantazio and nothing else, or you can go all in and pick up the Collector's Edition which includes a heck of a lot more.

It looks like fans were hoping for a more mature adventure.
PostsTechnically the Standard Edition doesn't come with nothing but the game. Those of you who want to secure a copy early, but don't want to spend the additional money on a Collector's Edition, will be rewarded with a pre-order bonus. Two of them, in fact. An Archetype EXP Chest Set, and an Adventurer’s Journey Pack. Both in-game items, no so physical goodies for ordering early, that can be claimed once you start playing the game on or after October 11.

ReFantazio's Collector's Edition includes a lot more than the Standard Edition, and I mean a lot more. As it should since it costs more than twice the price. Among the added extras you will get if you buy the Collector's Edition is a Steelbook, a physical copy of the game's soundtrack, and some Homo Tenta Metallic Pins. Everything you will get with the Collector's Edition is detailed in the table below. It's priced at $149.99, and there is only a limited amount available. At this stag, with days to go until launch, it may already be too late.

No spoilers here as Atlus has confirmed this is how the game will begin, players will be thrown right into the action from the very beginning as the residents of its world attempt to get their heads around the recent assassination of their king. You are one of the people trying to lay claim to the vacant throne, and your main objective will be to rally support to make that happen. Much like Persona, time is of the essence. Quests will time out if not completed in time, and I'm assuming your quest to become king will take a serious dent every time that happens. After all of this, if you're still unsure as to whether Metaphor: ReFantazio is for you, there's a demo available on all platforms so you can take the game for a spin before you commit to the full version.
Metaphor ReFantazio will be released on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC on October 11, 2024, but no Nintendo Switch release has been announced. Fingers crossed it's a launch title on whatever Nintendo potentially has coming in 2025.
