Fairly early on in Metaphor: ReFantazio, you'll acquire your first weapon capable of being purified at a church. This might be Dragon's Indignation, a sword for Strohl, if you dare to go up against Fire Dragon Mauna in the Nord Mine. Or it might be a tad later. Regardless, it'll happen, but it won't be immediately apparent how to request purification.

In this quick guide, we'll tell you the requirements for weapon purification in Metaphor: ReFantazio. We'll summarize the system's benefits, too - so be sure to keep an eye out for this special equipment, as it can make or break a tough battle.

What Is Purification In Metaphor: ReFantazio?

While on your quest to bring justice to Metaphor's dangerous world, you'll occasionally encounter weapons that can be purified at a church.

You'll know you've got one in your possession because, well, their description text will mention this when you hover over them in the menu.

These weapons are often pretty powerful for your present stage in the game, even without purification, and there's no reason not to equip them as-is. But greater power can be unlocked by bringing them to church and requesting the purification ritual.

How To Purify Your Weapons

The first step in purifying your weapons at a church is, obviously, to bring them to a St. Fermis church. There's a big one in Grand Trad, so that'll doubtless be your go-to location for much of the game.

There are, however, a couple more requirements. To begin with, you cannot have your purifiable weapons seen at a church until your Wisdom is Informed. Wisdom is one of your Royal Virtues, which can all be raised by completing various tasks.

We'll have a guide on every way to increase your Wisdom ASAP, but until then, simply pick up quests and engage in time-passing activities that mention boosts to Wisdom wherever you can find them.

You'll also need Blessed Water for each individual act of purification. These will be consumed during the purification process - but fret not; they're easy enough to come by.

You'll occasionally acquire Blessed Waterwhile scouring dungeons. We obtained four within the first time-sensitive dungeon, so you shouldn't have much trouble with this.

There are other ways - point being, while Blessed Water's a limited resource, it's hardly rare.

And that's everything you'll need to know in order to get started purifying your weapons to their full potential in Metaphor: ReFantazio!
