Moonlight Peaks has all the cozy game hobbies you would expect, from farming to fishing and beyond. Catching and selling fish is a great way to make some extra cash, particularly early in your Moonlight Peaks journey, so as soon as you get your rod, you should find the nearest fishing spots.

Thankfully, catching fish is easy; it is completing the collection that can be the trickiest! Here are all the fish types and where you can catch them in Moonlight Peaks.

This article is a work in progress and will continue to be updated as we progress through the seasons of Moonlight Peaks.

How To Start Fishing In Moonlight Peaks

To start fishing, you will need a fishing rod, and this is obtained by meeting Noel by a river on your second night in Moonlight Peaks. On your second night, go across the bridge to the right of your house and through the archway to find Noel on the sandy shore. He will invite you over and then challenge you to a fishing-off.

If you can catch three different fish types before he does, he has to give you 250 Coins. This is easy to achieve because you have the night to do it, and all you have to do is find fishing spots and collect three fish before taking them to Noel at The Broken Lamp inn.

Fishing is simple: cast the line and reel in the fish when it bites. You can see where to throw the line by the fish-shaped shadows in the water. If you throw the lure directly into the fish shoal, they will swim away a little, but just reel the line in a little to entice them back.

Sometimes you may catch a bit of trash instead, but you can sell these later.

All Fish Types

Any fish you catch has a basevalue and baseenergy, with these increasing with each star rating. For example, a Whisper has a base value of 40 and energy of 6, but its 1-Star counterpart gives 8 energy when consumed and 50 Coins when sold.
