Depending on your progress in Moonlight Peaks, you may or may not have encountered Death. Not the act of dying, but the literal character named Death who walks around in a Hawaiian shirt like a Grim Reaper on vacation.

If you have, you've likely also noticed that everywhere you go, floating skulls are flying around. Those flying skulls are soul blobs that Death will ask you to capture for them. There are 100 in total, and if you take the time to capture them all, you'll receive a reward to make up for all the time and energy you wasted.

Where To Find Death

As mentioned, for the soul blobs to appear, you'll first need to meet Death at the graveyard in Misty Shores. Unfortunately, when you first start the game, the path to Misty Shores will be blocked off by a spell that Fiona cast.

To reach Misty Shores, you'll need to progress through the main story quests until you've cleared the path and completed the missing Crest quest for Brook. Both of these conditions need to be met. If you've already had the dinner party at Ambrosia mansion and still haven't seen Death, you may be experiencing a bug.

Once you've completed both of those, you should encounter Death within the next day or two of going to Misty Shores. As long as you're doing as much as you can each day, this will likely happen somewhere between Day 10 and Day 15, and you can't miss it because it will be an automatic cutscene when you enter the area.

Death will only introduce themselves on the first day, but return to Misty Shores the next day, and they should tell you about Soul Blobs and provide you with a net to catch them. This is the same net you'll use to catch Critters in the game. Once you have that, you're ready to get capturing soul blobs.

Even if you miss, swinging your net will cost you energy. So be careful chasing soul blobs and critters, because they will run from you. The easiest way to ensure you don't waste a swing seems to be cornering them where they can't escape.

All Soul Blobs

Unlike Critters or Fish, Soul Blobs are not specific to any time or place. Instead, they are randomized every time you enter a new area. That said, there will never be repeat Soul Blobs, so you'll only ever spawn ones you're missing when you enter a new area.

Generally, it's easier to catch them while completing other tasks than to seek them out intentionally, but if you want to go on a Soul Blob hunt, who am I to stop you?

Rewards For Collecting All Soul Blobs

Once you collect a certain number of Soul Blobs, Death will appear outside your house at the start of the day and reward you with Antique Clocks. This will happen three times, and each time you receive the same gift, an Antique Clock will allow you to make your days longer or shorter.

You do not need to keep the Antique Clocks on you for the effect to take place. To use the clock, open your settings, and you should now see an option to adjust how many minutes your days are. Each time Death visits, you will unlock a new option for this setting.

Number Of Soul Blobs

10

50
