If you were playing Monopoly Go back at Christmastime in 2024 and remember the bizarrely-timed Halloween event we had back then for the Haunted Mansion Adventure, then the Adventure Club Vikings event running between 1PM EST on April 22 and 4PM EST on April 27 will ring familiar bells.

How To Play Adventure Club Vikings
Earn Tokens And Team Up
Like with all the other, more regular events we see in Monopoly Go, you'll need tokens before you can begin helping out in Adventure Club Vikings. They look like golden compasses, and you can get them by:
- Playing the center banner tournaments throughout the event, the ones displayed below your current cash total. These tend to have 62 milestones per event and faithfully have over a dozen milestone rewards that offer free Adventure Club tokens.
- Competing in the daily leaderboard tournaments against 99 other Monopoly Go players, earning plenty of extra tokens as milestone rewards throughout the event.
- Collecting your in-game store rewards every eight hours when they refresh, offering not only free Adventure Club Vikings compasses, but also a slew of rewards like free dice rolls, sticker packs, and in-game cash.
- Finishing each of your three daily quick win goals, the three easy gameplay tasks (like rolling doubles or passing Go, for example) that refresh daily at 9AM EST and will offer free Viking Adventure tokens throughout the course of the event for each goal you finish.
As you're building up tokens for the event, you'll need to assemble a team of seven other players before you can begin spending them. Once you've teamed up with at least one person, you'll both be able to invite others to the team, recruiting other Monopoly Go players until your team is full at eight members. Once you've all confirmed being on a team, you'll set sail for adventures across four levels of Adventure Club Vikings.
If you don't log in to make your own team before 1PM EST on April 23, the game will assign you to a team so you don't miss out on participating once you log back in. Additionally, if you've found yourself on a team you don't want to play with, you can leave a team before it completely fills, but once there are eight of you assembled and you've set sail, you're with that team for the duration of the event.
How To Clear Obstacles In Vikings
When you and your teammates set sail and get going toward your rewards, you'll need to work together to clear four levels throughout the duration of the event, which you'll do by playing a card game like Blackjack to clear obstacles and make progress across the four individual treasure maps. You'll need to remove a few obstacles to make progress through the levels, and doing so will require plenty of cooperation, so hopefully you've teamed up with active players!
To clear obstacles and progress through the four levels of Adventure Club Vikings, you'll need to accrue points towards several pieces of it. When approaching an obstacle, you'll see three numbers displayed, each with between one and three green diamonds beneath it. These are the numbers you'll need to beat on any given hand of the Vikings card game, and should you succeed, you'll earn the number of green diamonds shown towards the obstacle.
Check the meter at the top of each obstacle's screen to see how many points remain - it's like an HP bar of sorts.
You'll be made to draw two cards numbered between zero and ten, and the goal of the game is to have the numbers on your cards equal or pass the number shown. For example, if you're playing against a 15 and draw a six and a two to earn eight points, you'll lose the hand and won't earn any points, but if you pulled a six and a ten instead to have 16, you'd earn the number of green diamonds shown for beating that hand.
What Do The Special Cards Mean?
There are a couple cards you'll want to look out for when you're playing the Vikings iteration of the Monopoly Go Adventure Club this weekend, especially if you're a newer player or aren't familiar with the rules of Blackjack as it is, since the card game can easily get overwhelming if you're not quite sure how to play. While most cards are simple number cards, there are a few special cards in the deck to watch out for, too.
These cards are:
- Green Shuffle cards, which pretty much do what's on the tin: it reshuffles your current deck. Like a regular, real-life deck of cards, there are only so many of each number in your stack at a time (typically with fewer high numbers - the house usually has the advantage in these sitautuons, after all), but pulling one of these cards adds all used cards back to the deck and gives you a fresh deck on the next draw, whether that's another card on this puzzle or your next hand.
- If you're any good at card-counting, it can help to know which numbers to attempt! If there are only lower cards left in your deck that can be pulled without being shuffled, you might be wise not to challenge any high-value numbers until the deck is shuffled.
- Team Boost cards come from darker blue cards with two avatar silhouettes behind the number. When this card is pulled, you'll earn the number shown, multiplied by how many teammates are on that obstacles space when you pull the Team Boost card.
- For example, if you and two other players are working on an obstacle together and you pull a Team Boost card with a three, the three on the card will be multiplied by the number of teammates on the card to give you a nine instead. As such, you may want to head to spots with plenty of teammates on them, especially if it's been a bit sine you last pulled this card.
- The red On Fire cards with a flame icon immediately max out your hot streak and give you a third card on each draw until the streak ends, which happens when you next lose a draw even with said extra card.
- Streaks can also be obtained by winning four draws in a row, but pulling the On Fire card is the fastest way to capitalize on a streak in Adventure Club Vikings.
- Finally come the light blue Ice Cold cards, which has the opposite effect and moves your temperature gauge all the way toward the colder end of the scale. When this happens, the next card you draw from your deck will have a plus-four boost to help you get unstuck.
- This bonus will continue until you next win a hand.
By playing a clever combination of cards - though the event is largely luck-based like real Blackjack is - you and your teammates will work together to earn plenty of cool rewards in Adventure Club Vikings this week. Not only will you earn vault rewards for every obstacle you help clear along the way as progression prizes, but every level of the event that's cleared rewards progressively more impressive rewards.

If you've been collecting stickers throughout this album season, you'll be happy to learn we've got another chance at a Wild Sticker in the Vikings event this week in Monopoly Go, allowing you to choose any sticker as a reward regardless of its rarity or gilded status. Not only that, but between the colored sticker packs you'll pick up along the way and the Sticker Boom flash event you'll trigger on the third level of the Vikings event, it's a good event to earn stickers in Monopoly Go!
But if you're more of a cosmetics fan when it comes to event prizes, there's not only a new board token as the top prize (the Serpent that stole all the loot you're grabbing along the way), but a rather regal new shield skin of a golden rainbow to grab as well. There's even a new emoji as cute rewards at the first and second levels, too.
Prizes below are listed in addition to any vaults you may receive for helping to clear obstacles along the way to beating the four levels.
