Joining the Dark Brotherhood is one of the best decisions you can make early in your Oblivion Remastered run, as this questline offers one of the game's best stories. While the first half of your journey will focus on the Cheydinhal Sanctuary, you eventually switch to Lucien Lachance as your primary point of contact, completing contracts via dead drops.

In Final Justice, your target is Shaleez, a dangerous Argonian killer hiding in the Flooded Mine just north of Bravil. Prepare for a stealth approach, and bring any gear that helps you breathe underwater.
How To Start Final Justice
Final Justice begins once you've finished Broken Vows and grabbed your reward from the Rotten Chest underneath the Old Bridge to the south of the Imperial City Waterfront District.
Your next dead drop contract tasks you with killing Shaleez, an alleged psychopath who lives in the Flooded Mine just North of Bravil.
Bring armor or spells that provide Water Breathing to make this section easier. If you don't have any, don't worry; there are air pockets you can utilize in the flooded chambers.
How To Kill Shaleez
Once you arrive at the Flooded Mine, be cautious as you step inside this dangerous area. Dive into the pool in the first room and follow the tunnel north.
From here, follow your green arrow along the west or eastern path, depending on where Shaleez is when you enter.
You'll likely find Shaleez swimming around, but if you're lucky, she'll be standing on dry land in her camp area. Whichever the case, as soon as she sees you, she'll attack.
There are three ways to go about killing Shaleez:
- If you're confident in your abilities to fight in the water and your defenses are high, then you can charge in swinging and try to endure the painstaking swimming-based fight inside.
- If you find Shaleez already on land inside the cave, keep the fight contained to this land area and overwhelm Shaleez with quick attacks.
- If you want to be more cautious, get her attention, then run away, leaving the cave. She'll eventually follow you outside, where you can fight in a wide-open space.
Prepare your strongest spell or arrow for the moment Shaleez steps outside, then pepper her quickly with a few shots. You can also do this with melee weapons, but it just presents more risk of things going wrong.
Once you defeat Shaleez, your contract will be fulfilled. Be sure to loot her before you go for some enchanted weapons.
What Rewards Do You Get From Final Justice?
You'll receive an update to head to Fort Redman, just north of Leyawiin, and west of Arpenia, where you can collect your reward.
Be wary of the bandits that typically hang out around the fort.
Search the area near the entrance to find your rewards lying in a coffin:
- 500 gold
- Your fifth Dead Drop Orders
- Alval Uvani's Schedule
You'll also immediately start your next quest, A Matter Of Honor.
