Oblivion Remastered: The Lonely Wanderer Quest Walkthrough
Your next quest in the Oblivion Remastered Dark Brotherhood questline brings you to The Imperial City for The Lonely Wanderer. This Dark Brotherhood quest is the most vague thus far, as you're given very little to go on save for a name: Faelian. This elf is known to live somewhere in the Imperial City, but you'll need to rely on some old-fashioned detective work to find Faelian.

It's time to return to the prison where your adventure began.
Posts By Andrew ScariatiWith some careful snooping, patience, and thorough planning, you'll be able to track down Faelian, but that's only half the battle here. If you want to complete The Lonely Wanderer and earn the bonus, you must also make this look like a random murder by getting rid of Faelian in a remote indoor location.
How To Start The Lonely Wanderer
After you complete The Assassinated Man, your time reporting to Vicente Valtieri has come to an end, and you will now report to Ocheeva for the next quest.
Vicente Valtieri will also offer you the chance to become a vampire before you accept this assignment from Ocheeva.
Speak to Ocheeva, who has another contract for you, called The Lonely Wanderer. Ocheeva tells you about a High Elf in the Imperial City who may be difficult to find. Accept the challenge and listen to more information about Faelian, a High Elf who likes long walks.
Unfortunately, you don't know anything about his schedule or whereabouts, so Ocheeva recommends asking your fellow Dark Brotherhood members for help.
Ocheeva also mentions you should avoid causing a stir, as the guard captain, Adamus Phillida, has it out for the Dark Brotherhood.
What this means in practice is that you should kill Faelian inside and away from any witnesses to ensure that it looks like a simple murder.
Antoinetta Marie recommends speaking to Faelian and learning about him so you can lead him to a secluded location.
Alternatively, Vicente Valtieri will tell you to talk to an Elf in the Imperial City to learn more about Faelian. You must persuade the elf to have at least 50 disposition. We'd recommend taking this route for simplicity.
How To Find & Kill Faelian
Once you've decided on your plan, fast travel to the Market District of the Imperial City, which should offer plenty of options for Elves you can talk to.
Mandil is a female High Elf who you can usually find walking along one of the Market District's streets.
Bring her disposition above 50 and then select the 'Faelian' option to learn that Faelian lives at the Tiber Septim Hotel in the Imperial City, Talos Plaza District. Head there now.
Once at the Talos Plaza District, enter the Tiber Septim Hotel and speak with Augusta Calidia, the woman at the reception desk, and ask about Faelian.
After she tells you about Faelian's Skooma addiction and his sweetheart, Atraena, it's time to do some detective work. Follow your marker to Atraena, who is usually somewhere in the lobby, depending on the time of day.
Get Atraena's disposition above 50, then ask her about Faelian to learn more about his patterns, including his visits to an abandoned house.
Alternatively, you can also just talk directly to Faelian, who will trade you the key to Lorkmir's House for a bottle of Skooma (which you can pickpocket from Faelian to give back to him).
Whether you choose to speak with Atraena or Faelian to progress the quest, the next portion will lead you to Lorkmir's House.
Lorkmir's House
Follow your marker to Lorkmir's House in the Imperial City, Elven Gardens District during the day (between 11 am and 5 pm) and break the Hard lock to get in.
You'll find Faelian inside, behaving erratically, pacing the room. Kill him quietly, however you like, and leave the house with your bonus still intact.
You can also find Lorkmir's body in the basement, as Faelian killed him.
What Rewards Do You Get From The Lonely Wanderer?
Fast travel back to the Cheydinhal Sanctuary and speak to Ocheeva to claim your reward of 200 to 600 Gold, depending on your level, and a bonus for killing Faelian in a secluded location:
- Shadowhunt : bow with the following enchantments at level 30:
- Damage Health by 20 points
- Damage Magicka by 20 points
- Turn Undead up to level 32
- Weakness to poison, 20 percent
With Faelian's death behind you, you can turn your attention to the next Dark Brotherhood quest, Bad Medicine.
