Posts By Andrew ScariatiTake the Forlorn Watchman quest, for example. It’s not especially difficult, but without knowing the right steps to take, it can quickly turn into a confusing mess. That’s where this guide comes in to point you in the right direction.
How To Start The Forlorn Watchman Quest
You can start this quest by reaching Bravil, a town south of the Imperial City, and then asking its people about the rumors.
One of them will mention that there is a ghost, and then you will be directed to visit Gilgondorin in Silverhome on the Water inn to learn more about this.
Make your way to him and ask him about the Forlorn Watchman. You will learn that he appeared during the night at Bawnwatch Camp, which is just south-east of the town.
How To Find The Forlorn Watchman
Make your way to the Bawnwatch Camp around 8 pm, and you should see a ghost. However, don’t speak to him just yet. Instead, follow him, and he will lead you to a spot just near Fort Irony.
Here, you will be able to speak to him, where he will identify himself and then specifically say, 'Look for me in the Mouth of the Panther.'
The Mouth of the Panther is actually a location, and while you can return to Gilgondorin and ask him about it to be directed to its location, there’s no need. It’s just further east of Fort Irony, or if you just follow the path where the ghost is leading you, you should eventually find it.
How To Free Blakely
As you approach the Mouth of the Panther, you will see a shipwreck, and you need to investigate inside. Interact with the broken door to enter.
As soon as you step in, you will be attacked by some wraiths. Defeat them, then open the door to the right, where you will find a book sitting on the table called Log of the Emma Bay. Interact with it to read it and learn about what happened.
Now, you need to continue your investigation by making your way to the lower deck, located to the left of the ship.
First, you will be on the mid level, and you will face a couple more wraiths. Defeat them, then make your way to the lower level, with its entrance on the other side.
Here, you will find Gable the Traitor, who you need to defeat in order to progress. After you defeat him, don’t forget to loot the corpse to get the Small Key to the wooden door behind.
Inside this room, you will find a skeleton chained to the wooden pillar. Interact with it to release it, and this will cause the Watchman to spawn and speak to you, thanking you himself.
How To Complete The Forlorn Watchman Quest
The Watchman will ask you to take the treasure map lying on the ground, which should have a good reward for your trouble.
This will take you to the Black Dog Camp, just further east from your current location.
Make your way there, and then just south of it, on the dock, jump into the water and dive down where you will be able to find a chest between some rocks.
This chest contains your rewards, which include gold, jewelry to sell, some gear, and weapons.
