Heavily inspired by Super Smash Bros., this free-to-play brawler brings a diverse cast of Warner Bros. characters together to duke it out in one-on-one or team battles. Each fighter feels distinct, and their personalities shine through their attacks and dialogue.
Like other free-to-play titles, Multiversus has a battle pass that will encourage you to spend more time with the game to unlock new cosmetics or collect one of the four in-game currencies. If you enjoy platform fighters, Multiversus is one of the best in the genre and continues to receive updates with new characters, though we're still waiting for them to add Magic Mike and the tornado from Twister.
Multiversus is scheduled to go offline on May 30, 2025. While online features will be disabled, anyone who owns the game can still play it locally against friends or CPU opponents.

DIGITALMarvel Rivals is a 6v6 hero shooter that lets you play as iconic superheroes and villains as they battle against each other for victory. While it certainly shares some DNA with games like Overwatch, Rivals also brings some fresh ideas to the genre that allow it to stand apart from the competition, like Team-Up abilities that provide buffs or new attacks when certain characters work together.
One of the best aspects of Marvel Rivals is how frequently it's updated with new content. There are already over 40 unique characters to choose from, ranging from iconic protagonists like Spider-Man to lesser-known fighters like Jeff the Land Shark, with even more on the horizon. Each of them has their own strengths and weaknesses that are equally fun to learn and fight against. No matter how familiar you are with the world of Marvel, Rivals is a blast to play alone or with a team of superfriends.

DIGITALIf you enjoy classic dress-up games and the free-to-play gacha formula perfected by titles like Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail, Infinity Nikki takes all of these elements and blends them together to create a cozy and surprisingly dense action-adventure. After she suddenly finds herself in Miraland, Nikki and her partner-in-crime Momo must work together with the locals to solve a sinister plot.
The outfits that Nikki collects provide her with special powers like double-jumping that you'll need to use to solve puzzles and clear platforming challenges. While there isn't a proper multiplayer component to the game just yet, you can share the photos you take of your fabulous wardrobe with friends. Even though it's essentially a single-player game, there is enough content in Infinity Nikki to keep you busy for dozens of hours.

Instead of competing against almost a hundred other players for a chance at victory in a battle royale, you can burn rubber against seven other racers to determine who is the fastest.
It's worth downloading Asphalt Legends Unite for both its online and offline modes. It's a blast to compete with other players online, but the game also includes a local co-op mode that allows you to play with up to three friends to determine who is the Vin Diesel of the group. The game looks gorgeous, and each race is full of excitement, easily making Asphalt Legends Unite an essential game for anyone with a need for speed.

Inspired by the sci-fi and steampunk genres, the biggest difference between the two games is that Honkai: Star Rail features turn-based combat and focuses more on single-player action than multiplayer.
Unlike Genshin, you can't really play alongside anyone else in Honkai: Star Rail. Instead, you can borrow one of your friend's Support Characters to join you on your adventure. The game requires an online connection at all times, but fortunately, you don't need to worry about paying any fees to access this underrated title.
