This guide will walk you through all the steps needed to unlock the 'Murderer and Victim' achievement/trophy in Alan Wake 2: The Lake House DLC.

Alan Wake 2: The Lake House Murderer And Victim

Continue to progress through the story until you reach the Research Archives. You will need the Security Clearance 03 Keycard to access the area — it is located inside the Inventory Management room on the Painting Production floor.

Once you are there, make your way through a maze of cabinets, lockers, etc. until you reach Dr. Marmont's office. It is a large room (glass walls) at the end filled with files, documents, a computer, and a projector. Before doing anything, read through the documents to learn what exactly happened here.

The password for the computer in Dr. Marmont's office is 685298 if you wish to go through the e-mails.

After going through everything, go to the entrance of the office, flip the switch on the left side to turn off the power, and head inside the office to see a recording playing on the projector. Inside the office, you will need to interact with three drawings.

  1. The drawing of a person falling near the projector, on the floor.
  2. The drawing of a red tree near the table with the projector — also on the floor.
  3. The drawing of a man with a red circle on his face was found on the table with the projector.

Once you have inspected all three drawings, a cord will appear in the middle of the room. You simply need to pull it three times to get teleported to the Oceanview Motel — every time you pull the cord, the lighting in the room will change.

Inside the Oceanview Motel, continue to head straight until you see the Panopticon in front of you. Head up the stairs to find a person (uniform labeled P6) in confinement. Speak with this person (Dylan) to learn more about everything that has been going on, watch a brief cutscene, and you will be teleported back to Dr. Marmont's office where the Murderer and Victim achievement/trophy will be unlocked.
