PostsBe warned there is only a limited time to transfer your original Pocket Camp data, so don't forget or you'll lose out on your past progress forever. Here's everything you need to know about transferring over your precious favourites and all your hard work.
How To Link Your Save Data To A Nintendo Account
Whether you want to transfer from the original Pocket Camp to the Complete version, or move your Complete save data from one device to another, you first need to link your game data to a Nintendo account.
Open up Pocket Camp (or Pocket Camp Complete if you're moving to a new device) and select either 'Transfer Save Data' or 'Before Changing Device'. This will take you to a new screen that will prompt you to create or link a Nintendo account, after which you can then link your save data.
How To Transfer Save Data From Original Pocket Camp
Be warned that you can only transfer your save data from Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp up until June 1, 2025 at 11:00pm PT/07:00am BST.
Once you've linked your original Pocket Camp data to a Nintendo account, open Pocket Camp Complete and choose 'Continue' instead of 'Start Fresh'. On the next page, choose 'Transfer' to recover your save data.
Once you have recovered your save data to Pocket Camp Complete, be aware that from now on, if you delete the app, the save data is also deleted. You can back it up if changing device, which we cover just below.
How To Transfer Pocket Camp Complete Data To Another Device
Open up Pocket Camp Complete and choose 'Before Changing Device' on the title screen. If you haven't already, you'll need to link a Nintendo account, but then you can choose 'Store Data'.
Save data is stored for seven days, after which you'll have to store the data again if you haven't migrated to a new device yet.
On your new device, download and install Pocket Camp Complete and choose 'Continue' on your new device. This will prompt you to sign in with your Nintendo account so you can retrieve your stored data.
If for some reason the title screen isn't showing this option, you can also go into the 'Misc.' section of the menu and choose 'About Changing Devices' to reach the same 'Store Data' option.
