As reported by Insider Gaming and originally shared by Twitter user ARCRaidersNews, a Steam update for Arc Raiders went live a few days ago that randomly added a new .EXE file. When that file is opened, it shows a window with a bunch of code that can be decoded to lead to a countdown website.

Some of the strings can be decoded to show a cheeky message saying "I'm not telling you a release date :)", so it seems the devs are well-aware of what they'e doing here.

That countdown website ends on June 6 at 11pm, which is exactly when Summer Game Fest Live takes place. With that in mind, it seems very likely that something to do with Arc Raiders is happening during the show. Many fans think this could be a sign of a big shadow drop moment, or at the very least, another technical test or an open beta.

We won't know for sure what's happening with Arc Raiders until Summer Game Fest, but it does seem likely that we get a more concrete release window if not a full-on surprise release. Either way, June 6 is the day to look out for if you're waiting for more Arc Raiders goodness.
