Baldur's Gate 3 Players Think The Blue Jay Is The Most Evil Character In The Game
Summary
- Players think the Blue Jay in Act 2 is the most evil character in Baldur's Gate 3.
- He tricks you into killing a family of eagles so that he can steal their nest.
- He should be the BBEG of Baldur's Gate 4.
Baldur's Gate 3 has some pretty evil and hateful bad guys. There's Aunty Ethel the hag in disguise; Orin, who literally lusts for torture and murder, and the Dead Three who are pulling all the strings. Worse than them is Wulbren Bongle, who is easily the most hated character in the game.

If you're thinking about going back to Baldur's Gate 3, the final patch is a perfect excuse.
Posts By Jade KingHowever, when it comes to being purely malicious, evil, and manipulative, there is one character that sits atop the perch. Over the course of Act 2, you'll come across a Blue Jay that seems like it's in distress. It will ask you to help take back its nest from some eagles, but don't you even once fall for it. This vile bird is the most dangerous threat to the Sword Coast.
Do Not Trust That Bird
If you know nothing about birds, you may be inclined to help the Blue Jay by wiping out those mean eagles. However, Blue Jay by nature are known to take over other birds' nests. If you play out the quest or talk to the eagles, you'll learn that the Blue Jay really wanted you to wipe out the eagles so that it could steal their nest.
Fans of Baldur's Gate 3 agree that this evil bird is, by far, the most evil character in the game. In fact, someone even made a mock news segment about it on Reddit, saying the Blue Jay is the greatest threat to the Sword Coast's peace. It ranks ahead of the likes of Dark Urge, Gortash, Ketheric Thorm, and even Orin.
"He’s an evil genius. I kind of wish we could see him interact with the pigeons in Baldur's Gate," said one comment. "Or if he was included in 'gather your allies', because it would be hilarious to send him in to distract that spectator."
"First time this ever happened to me, it pissed me off so badly that I loaded up an old save from before I ever talked to that bird just so I could kill it beforehand," admitted another. Even Gortash himself couldn't be as cunning as that dam bird.
