Dysmantle blends together an open-world RPG with zombies, creating a unique survival crafting experience. In this game, you will need to survive the zombies that plague the island that you are recurrently trying to escape.

Along the way, you can, well... dismantle any structures that stand in your way. As the game itself states, it's a game "where you ruin everything". Of course, you will also be able to build bases and outposts to ensure your survival.

World War Z is a 2019 zombie game based on a book. There is also a 2013 World War Z movie, however the plot of the game differs. In this game, you can pick between seven different classes as you fight against zombies in cities around the world.

If you’ve seen the movie, then you know of the iconic scene where zombies use their bodies to create a tower to reach a helicopter. The game utilizes this mechanic; swarms of up to 1,000 zombies can appear and tower to you.

The House of the Dead is a game stretching back to 1996. During this time, the game could be found in arcades as a rail shooter. Since then, The House of the Dead has spread to consoles, with the remake being available on the Nintendo Switch.

Darkwood is a terrifying survival horror game that plays with the concept of 'zombies'. Rather than the typical undead zombie, the 'monsters' in the game are humans who were affected by a plague. Darkwood has an interesting day and night cycle; during the day, you can explore and build your base, but at night, you will need to stay in and defend.

Interestingly, Darkwood doesn't rely on the classic jump scare. Instead, the horror element comes from the creepy atmosphere. This is great if you are looking for a scary game that's a bit different from others out there.
