- FTAC RECON Build
- Loadout
Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has a plethora of various gun categories. The Battle Rifle family is a lot like the Assault Rifles, but they tend to have less Magazine capacity and shoot a bit slower. On the bright side, they do hit a lot harder. The FTAC Recon has become one of the favorite Battle Rifles since the game's release.

The FTAC Recon is a powerhouse, and, in the right hands, it can prove to be a menace on the battlefield. With exquisite range, great Mobility, and awesome damage, it is no wonder it's the favorite Battle Rifle.
FTAC RECON Build
This build version of the FTAC Recon makes a point on Range, Damage, and Mobility. However, there is a slight decrease in Recoil Control and Handling. It has a fast time to kill, and as long as you don't waste your whole clip trying to pick off an enemy from afar, it is reasonably accurate. Let's take a dive into the loadout and see how to make this the best FTAC Recon possible.

This weapon is useful at nearly all ranges; just beware of those close-quarter combat scenarios, since Submachine Guns do rule that range. You may want to practice with this weapon at medium to long range, where it really shows its best qualities, before taking it into close proximity fights. It can certainly be effective there, though it may take some getting used to.
Loadout
In order for this gun to work in your favor the best it can, you will want to accompany it with the best loadout that suits it. When it comes to Perks and Equipment, it can be up to personal preference, but these loadout options pair well with this gun.

Tactical
Flash Grenade
Blinding the enemy to give you the upper hand is always a great option to have — this is where Flash Grenades are great. If this isn't your favorite choice, give the Stim Tactical option a try for some extra health regeneration when you need it.
Lethal
Frag Grenade
Nothing is more reliable than the trusty old Frag Grenade, while Semtex, Drill Charge, Thermite, and Molotov Cocktail are great options, you will want something that packs a punch to ensure that damage or to help keep enemies on the move, and hopefully into your sights.
Perk Packages
Double Time, Scavenger, Focus, and Quick Fix
Even though this FTAC Recon build has decent mobility, the Double Time option is always a great thing to have to make sure you can get from location to location with speedy efficiency.
Scavenger will help you stay up on your ammo, while Focus will help you stay on your target when you flinch. Finally, you will want Quick Fix to make sure you regenerate health after each kill, this is great if you aren't running around with Stims.
Field Upgrades
Dead Silence and Portable Radar
Since your range is best in that mid-to-long range, you will want to run Dead Silence to move around quickly. You never know where the enemy is or where they will spawn, and this is a great option to have to make sure they don't hear you before you see them.
The Portable Radar is helpful when holding down a sniper nest, an objective or just infiltrating a building. You will want to know where the enemy may be and this is where the Portable Radar comes in handy, so you don't have to wait for your team to activate a UAV.
It may take some getting used to, but with some practice, you will be able to make this gun effective in almost any range. Yet, where it really shines is in those mid to long-range situations that require an accurate and powerful weapon in your hands, where this is the best option.
Practicing your movement and ranges in the Firing Range can prove to be a useful training tool. By the time you make it to the actual battlefield, you will know all the strengths and weaknesses of this weapon, how to use it effectively, and where you may be most useful for your team. With that, you now have a great FTAC Recon Build and Loadout and are ready to lay the enemy team down, get those Killstreaks, and have that win in your player history.
