Since Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is a challenge right at the get-go, it would make the game easier to play if you had a second chance to redo everything. With the help of the New Game Plus Mode, you can fight the Paintress with some ease. However, your second run in the game will be different.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 isn't the longest RPG ever, but it is still a decent-sized adventure.
Posts 4 By Ben JesseyYou will still have to earn certain mechanics as the turn-based RPG progresses. On top of that, not every item you have obtained will be brought over to the New Game Plus Mode. This guide will show you how to start this mode, plus, you’ll also learn what gets brought over.
How To Start A New Game Plus
Restarting the game with some of the same items is easy. You need to beat the main story and get at least one ending.
Afterward, when you go to an Expedition Rest Point, you’ll get an option to start New Game Plus. Upon interacting with the tab, you’ll get another prompt explaining what comes over and what doesn’t.
Make sure you’re playing on the saved file that has completed the game before you go to a rest point.
Assuming you’ve pressed Continue, you can read onward to find out what could happen to you on your New Game Plus Mode run.
What Gets Transferred Over
Starting the New Game Plus is the simple part. On the other hand, what stays and what goes can be a little confusing.
What Is Kept
While the main narrative of Clair Obscur Expedition 33 doesn’t change, what you’ll be doing may be impacted.
Theprogress of your characters, such as weapons and what level they are, will be brought over. Additionally, all your party members will be unlocked. If you're worried about losing your build, fortunately, Pictos and Luminas come with you.
While your Pictos come over, you can still find certain Pictos in specific locations, like boss fights. When you do, it may give you a free upgrade of that Picto or be converted into Chroma.
Lastly, you get to keep all the skills you’ve bought and the Tints you’ve found.
What Stays Behind
Having your skills, weapons, and party ready to use at the start does help. However, even when you're armed up, New Game Plus Mode will still be something of a struggle.
All your side quests, quest items, and relationship levels with your party members are reset. Most collectibles, like Expedition Journals and Music Records, go back to zero as well.
As mentioned, the New Game Plus Mode may be a lot tougher due to enemies being stronger. But, the trade-off is that slaying enemies willdrop loot that can only be found in this mode.
So, if you're attempting to 100 percent the game, playing New Game Plus Mode will help you achieve that feat.
