For as long as Dead by Daylight has been making a name for itself with its crossovers with iconic horror series, one of the most requested collaborations has been with Five Nights at Freddy's. After years of rumours and requests, it was finally confirmed last year that Dead by Daylight was getting its own Five Nights at Freddy's crossover at some point in 2025. That time is fast approaching, as Behaviour Interactive has finally shared all of the details about the crossover, and it's a lot bigger than most of us expected.

As We All Expected, Springtrap Is Coming To Dead By Daylight As A Killer

There's Even A Yellow Rabbit Skin From The Movie

During its reveal event, Behaviour confirmed that the Five Nights at Freddy's crossover includes a brand new killer, a new map, and more. The main event of the crossover is a new killer who is, of course, Springtrap from Five Nights at Freddy's 3. Springtrap is known as The Animatronic in DbD, and it's actually the first time he's ever been playable in a game.

Behaviour didn't reveal much about how Springtrap is going to play and is saving that for a later date, but it's still good to know who the big killer of the crossover is going to be. While a new survivor sadly isn't going to be added with the update, Five Nights at Freddy's Pizzeria will be making it over to Dead by Daylight as a map, and the developers say it's packed full of easter eggs for fans of the series.

Remember when we all thought that the collaboration would just include skins? That's wild to think about now we know everything we're getting.

The final big announcement that was made in the stream is that Springtrap will have a unique skin based on the movie's Yellow Rabbit interpretation of him. This skin will feature Matthew Lillard's likeness and even be voiced by him, which is a very nice touch that should unite the game with the movies.
