Make Jason The Slasher Unstoppable With These Perk Builds In Dead By Daylight
Jason 'The Slasher' came to Dead By Daylight on June 16, 2026, straight from the iconic horror movie franchise Friday The 13th. His powers make him one of the most powerful stealth killers in the game right now, but with a jump scare twist.
If you are thinking of jumping into this new chapter, there are a few things you should know about his powers, perks, and what builds would suit him best. Here is everything you need to know about Jason in Dead By Daylight.
The Slasher's Teachable Perks And Unique Abilities
Jason's unique powers include Omnipresent Evil, a stealth mode where he can become invisible and undetectable, and move around the map very quickly. While in this mode, Jason can see a red mist on any Survivors working on generators, cleansing totems, vaulting, or healing. He can also see red footprints that show where Survivors are walking.
When exiting this mode at any window, pallet, or breakable wall, Jason uses his special ability: Jump Scare, where he can make nearby Survivors scream and apply Killer Instinct.
His secondary special ability is Throwing Spikes, which are found in junk piles around the map. Jason can grab these quickly on the go from those piles or from a Killer Hook, which then returns 15 seconds later. He also replenishes the spike automatically after hooking a Survivor. These can then be thrown as projectiles that can injure healthy Survivors, down injured Survivors, or pin them to a wall. Jason doesn't have to wait for the Survivor to remove the Spike to grab and throw another.
The Throwing Spike projectile should be thought of a bit like Springtrap and his axes, but with a hitbox similar to Deathslinger's gun.
Jason's three perks are all about jump scares and making the most out of pallet and wall breaks. This Killer is relatively slow, so getting rid of any obstacles that lengthen a loop for Survivors can become necessary, as can any build that increases Jason's speed or slows down Survivors. It is also important to keep tabs on where Survivors are by making them scream, with Killer Instinct, or revealing their auras.
- Hex: Scared To Death: When you hook three different Survivors, a Dull Totem ignites and becomes a Hex Totem. While chasing a Survivor, whenever you basic-break a Pallet, Survivors within 13m will scream and become Hindered for 3 seconds.
- Rampage: Whenever you basic-break a Pallet or Breakable Wall, you earn a Token, up to 13. Whenever you are blinded or Pallet-stunned, for the next 13 seconds, you gain 1% Haste for each Token. The cooldown for this Perk is 20 seconds.
- Silent Shadow: Whenever you hook a Survivor, you gain Undetectable for 13 seconds. When all Generators are repaired, you become Undetectable.
If you want to create a build around Jason's perks, you will want to build on the pallet-breaking and stealth:
- The Trapper perk Brutal Strength can help you break pallets quicker.
- The Skull Merchant perk THWACK! Survivors scream when you break a pallet and can see their auras for 6 seconds.
- The Skull Merchant perk Game Afoot comes into play while chasing the Obsession. During a chase, break a Pallet, Wall or damage a Generator, to gain 7% Haste for 10 seconds.
- The Spirit perk Spirit Fury can come in handy if you are already breaking pallets. When you are stunned by a Pallet, after breaking two Pallets, that Pallet is destroyed instead.
- The Wraith perk Shadowborn means you gain 10% Haste for 10 seconds whenever you are blinded.
- The Executioner perk Trail Of Torment grants you Undetectable after kicking a generator.
- The Unknown perk Unforseen grants you Undetectable for 30 seconds after you kick a generator, and your Terror Radius is transferred to that generator.

Posts By Rowan JonesSpeed-Boosting Build
This build helps Jason boost his speed, something he sorely needs, and gives a little insight into where the Survivors might be. The trick with this build is to watch who you are chasing, and gain your Tokens by abandoning chase with the Obsession. Furtive Chase and Friends Til The End help keep the Obsession status moving around from Survivor to Survivor.
Perk
Guide
Batteries Included
Gain Haste when within 16m of a completed generator.
Friends Til The End
When you hook a Survivor who is not the Obsession, the Obsession is Exposed for 20 seconds and you see their aura for 10 seconds.
When you hook the Obsession, another Survivor screams and becomes the Obsession.
Furtive Chase
When you hook the Obsession, you gain 10% Haste for 18 seconds and Undetectable for 18 seconds.
If the Obsession is hooked, the Survivor who unhooks them becomes the Obsession.
Play With Your Food
When you stop chasing the Obsession, you earn a Token, up to three. For each Token, you gain 5% Haste.
When you hit a Survivor, you lose a Token.
Add-ons: Eye Goop + Imprinted Aluminum to gain Undetectable for 30 seconds after grabbing a Hook Spike and to inflict Mangled and Hemorrhage on healthy Survivors for 70 seconds after they are hit by a Spike.
Gen-Pressure Build
This build helps you keep up the generatorpressure and simultaneously keep track of the locationsofSurvivors as you hook and damage generators. The perks work for Jason while he is walking around like normal, while his add-ons work for him while he is using his Omnipresent Evil ability.

Guide
Corrupt Intervention
At the start of the trial, the three generators furthest from you are covered for 120 seconds or until you down a Survivor.
Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance
4 random hooks become Scourge Hooks and you gain 4 Tokens. Each time a Survivor is hooked on a Scourge Hook for the first time, a Token is spent and the generator with the most progress explodes and loses 20% progress. All Survivors working on the generator will scream.
Barbecue & Chili
When you hook a Survivor, you see the auras of all Survivors at least 40 meters away.
Turn Back The Clock
After hooking a Survivor, for the next 60 seconds, you can target a generator within 20 meters and damage it. It will explode, lose 10% progress, and start regressing.
Add-ons: Deputy's Badge + Sauna Rock, so a generator explodes when you pass by in Omnipresent Evil mode or gives Survivors repairing the generator a difficult skill check, and inflicts all Survivors with Exhausted for 13 seconds after a Jump Scare.
Hex Build
This full Hex build keeps Survivors busy while you make your way around the map chasing them down. Thanks to Thrill Of The Hunt, cleansing totems will take a long time, and you can find Survivors easily with Omnipresent Evil and interrupt them using Jump Scare. Ruin will keep the pressure on generators and make the Survivors want to cleanse all Hex totems instead of sticking with the generator.
Perk
Guide
Hex: Ruin
While a generator is not being repaired, it regresses at 150% speed.
Hex: Thrill Of The Hunt
For each dull and Hex Totem remaining, you have 1 Token. For each Token, Survivors bless and cleanse Totems 12% slower.
Hex: Undying
When another Hex Totem is blessed or cleansed, it replaces this one and keeps any Tokens it had. You see the auras of any Survivors 4 meters near a dull Totem.
Hex: Hive Mind
The auras of generators show their progress. When 1 generator remains, all generators lose 10% of their progress and start regressing.
Add-ons: Iridescent Boat Motor grants you the ability to mark windows you pass through during Omnipresent Evil, which are then blocked for 13 seconds when you perform a Jump Scare. Toxic Waste makes any Survivor within 8 meters of a hook or scrap pile gain Oblivious for 13 seconds after a Jump Scare.
