Another Sparable Psychopath

The Hall Family consists of Roger Hall, Jack Hall, and Thomas Hall. They will snipe you from above and will even make it hard for you to approach them. They do this to hunt for sport, but Thomas is a bit reluctant.

While not the worst fight or the best fight, what really makes these psychopaths somewhat forgettable is that they don’t have a death cutscene. However, Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster finally lets you spare Thomas. He even gives you extra dialogue that further fleshes out their motivations.

Paul Carson is a unique Psychopath, since until the remake, he was the only one who didn't need to die after his encounter. Paul is also an excellent resource for Molotov Cocktails if you decide to save him.

Paul can be somewhat frustrating since he's constantly running away and dropping bombs. However, one aspect that is made easier in this version of the game is the task of putting him out once he catches fire.

12 Jo Slade

A Corrupt Cop

Jo Slade is a real bruiser of a boss. While she may be easier to hit, unlike some of the quicker and more evasive bosses in the game, she will put the hurt in you if you stay too close to her.

Her boss fight is also unique because it has multiple survivors tied down throughout the store. So, while it might be tempting to just swing away with your most powerful weapon, you always run the risk of hitting an innocent bystander.

Cletus was one of the most annoying bosses in the original game. However, with the updated movement and aiming mechanics, one of the biggest frustrations of the battle is remedied.

You can finally move out of the way while firing shots at Cletus. You no longer have to stay in one place and hope that you can knock him out before he inevitably begins stun-locking you.

Larry Chiang may not have aged as well as some of the other Psychopaths in the game. In fact, his entire persona was a bit much. He still keeps his usual motivations and even the same move set.

While the voice may seem somewhat strange in the new rendition, little details in the way he moves and pauses before speaking show that he, like the other bosses in the game, is also going through the pressure of the zombie apocalypse.

Almost every Dead Rising game has a boss who rides a motorcycle. Isabela is the first in the series to have this unique boss battle setup. While her boss fight isn’t always the most memorable, it does have one of the best rewards in the game.

Cliff Hudson is another Psychopath who was altered for the Dead Rising Deluxe Remake. This is still one of the most tragic characters you need to face if you want to save every survivor. However, his dialogue has that same 'Off The Record' awkwardness that occurs when words are edited into a pre-existing script.

However, Cliff is still a formidable opponent. The garden store gives him a unique battlefield with elevated areas for him to attack from above and tunnels for him to make a quick escape.

7 Steven Chapman

No Looting In His Store

Steven Chapman is one of the most iconic Psychopaths in Dead Rising. He’s the store manager of Seon’s Food and Stuff. He pushes his weaponized shopping cart through the aisles, making him especially dangerous in those close-quarters situations.

While his latest rendition loses a bit of the energy that the original had in terms of yelling, the boss fight is more enjoyable since he will last long enough to take the fight all over the store.
