In preparation for Destiny 2 next expansion, the Nine are offering a short-term challenge for Guardians to attempt. Rite of the Nine is an event that runs until the launch of Edge of Fate, reprising three dungeons with new weapon perk pools, encounter mechanics, and a new title.

Here is everything you need to know about Destiny 2's Rite of the Nine event.
PostsAs with most events, Rite of the Nine includes a handful of new weapons to chase. We've dug through the API and looked at all perk combinations for each reprised dungeon weapon. And today, we'll be looking at the best rolls you can get on the reprised dungeon loot during Rite of the Nine.
A Sudden Death
A Sudden Death is a 55 RPM Void Shotgun that was previously known for its PvP performance. Precision Shotguns and slugs have taken over the Crucible since its original reprisal, but that doesn't mean A Sudden Death can't survive in today's sandbox. You're mainly looking for Threat Detector for its massive handling bonus and Closing Time for added range. It's not quite as strong as Deadlock or even Matador, but it's a good option if you're lacking a strong energy Shotgun.
PvE players have a lot more interesting perks to chase here. By far the largest standout here is One-Two Punch with Trench Barrel. This is the first shotgun in Destiny history that can get this perk combination, allowing you to buff your melee damage and shotgun damage on any melee build.
If you want to slay out with A Sudden Death, that's also an option. Discord allows you to bypass the usually-restrictive Special ammo economy to get some quick kills, which you can pair with Redirection for a massive 100 percent damage bonus against orange bars. It's not a bad choice if you don't mind getting up close to majors in endgame PvE content.

Cold Comfort
Cold Comfort is still one of Destiny 2's best Rocket Launchers for DPS. Even before the recent reprisal, this weapon could pump some serious burst DPS with Envious Assassin and Bipod. You can't get Envious Assassin anymore, but you can get Reconstruction in its place for a similarly powerful rocket barrage.
However, if you're focused on dealing the most total damage possible, then you're not going to beat Envious Arsenal with a strong damage perk, either Bait and Switch or Elemental Honing. Those who own Hezen Vengeance don't need to farm for Cold Comfort right away, but if you aren't able to raid and need a good Rocket Launcher, this is your next best option.

Greasy Luck
Greasy Luck isn't quite as strong as Forthcoming Deviance for buildcrafting—it can't get Demolitionist in the first column like the Salvation's Edge Glaive can—yet it has a unique perk up its sleeve: Redirection. Damage with the Glaive will ramp up stacks of Redirection that will double the damage of your next shot.
It doesn't impact your PvP TTK at all, but this can prove useful for quickly killing majors in PvE. Pair it with Replenishing Aegis for a decent utility weapon that can double as a major slayer.
It's currently unclear if melee hits from your Glaive grant Redirection stacks. We'll update this section once we know more.

Judgment
Judgment's reissue was focused more on PvP than its PvE performance. It can get Lone Wolf in the first column for a boost in aim assist, which you can pair with Precision Instrument or Opening Shot for a decent head clicker, although it's nowhere near a top-tier Hand Cannon due to its stat package. Far better options exist nowadays, but if you like the feel of this weapon, it can certainly compete inside the Crucible now.
PvE players don't have much reason to use Judgment due to its lack of strong damage perks. Headstone and Rimestealer is your best combination here, granting free stacks of Frost Armor from precision kills. You can opt to run Precision Instrument or Timed Payload instead in the second trait column, although we suggest you run a different Hand Cannon altogether if you're looking for raw damage—Fatebringer and Midnight Coup will serve you better.

Posts 3Liminal Vigil
Liminal Vigil hasn't seen many improvements with this reissue. The PvE roll you're chasing here is Headstone with any damage perk, notably Desperate Measures since it's easy to proc and does so automatically—Kill Clip and Desperado force you to reload.
Crucible players who like two-burst Sidearms can put in some serious work with Tap the Trigger and Kill Clip. After you get a kill, your TTK will drastically reduce to 0.47s, melting just about anything outside of Shotgun range.

Long Arm
Long Arm's reprisal has made it a fairly strong Scout Rifle for both PvE and PvP. Before we continue, it's important to note that Hip-Fire Grip does not make this weapon behave like Dead Man's Tale, even when enhanced. If you want to hipfire enemies with a Scout Rifle, stick with DMT.
The good news is that Long Arm is a fantastic 120 Scout Rifle if you're willing to aim down sights. Rapid Hit pairs well with Precision Instrument for a general Primary workhorse. Precision hits will scale your damage and reload speed, leading to some easy long-range kills. For PvP, Lone Wolf with Precision Instrument allows you to two-tap at maximum stacks.

New Pacific Epitaph
Wave Frame GLs have been somewhat power crept by Rocket Sidearms in recent months, so it's unlikely that New Pacific Epitaph will unseat Tinasha's Mastery or The Call from most PvE loadouts. With that said, this is still the only Wave Frame GL that can get Demolitionist and Redirection. Wave Frames typically struggle to kill orange bars on their own, but while Redirection stacks are active, they quickly turn into cannon fodder.
Don't use Special Grenade Launchers in PvP, period. They deal pitiful damage and have problems with their ammo economy.

PostsNo Survivors
The only SMG that sees use in current PvE content is Multimach due to Attrition Orbs and Kinetic Tremors, a combination that's perfect for general utility. No Survivors can also get Attrition Orbs in the first column, although it doesn't have Kinetic Tremors or any sustained damage perks. Your best pick is Master of Arms or Sword Logic for a long-lasting damage buff.
No Survivors is also the first Solar SMG to roll with Heal Clip and Incandescent if you want to build into Solar keywords.
Inside the Crucible, you'll want to use Target Lock to reduce the TTK to a competitive 0.67s up close. You can pair it with Attrition Orbs for the occasional orb spawn or Heal Clip to trigger Solar Fragments like Ember of Benevolence . It's not a strong SMG on its own, but No Survivors does have some buildcraft potential.

Prosecutor
Prosecutor dominated the PvP sandbox for a short time after it was reissued. Precision Frame Auto Rifles aren't as powerful as they used to be in PvP, but this weapon can put in some work. Keep Away or Zen Moment in the first column is perfect for consistent 1v1 duels. Zen Moment is generally better for dueling, but Keep Away is a great choice if you prefer more accuracy. Pair either with Paracasual Affinity or Onslaught for a strong gun in 1v2 and 1v3 situations.
PvE is where this gun truly shines. Dragonfly can be paired with Onslaught to create one of the highest damage Primary ARs in the game. Getting an initial kill is tricky, but once you get x3 Onslaught, this gun obliterates anything on the opposite end of the barrel.

PvE players can skip farming for this weapon. It can get Firefly and Paracasual Affinity for general add clear, but High-Impact Frames are somewhat weak in general in the current sandbox. Crucible players can run Lone Wolf and Headseeker for an easy-to-use Pulse Rifle, albeit far from the likes of Elsie's Rifles or any meta 450 Pulse Rifle.

Terminus Horizon
High-Impact LMGs are a dime in a dozen. Excluding Terminus Horizon, the last new one we received was Qua Xaphan V from Season of the Witch. This reissue comes with a larger emphasis on sustained DPS perks, notably Triple Tap and Precision Instrument. High-Impacts have high total damage, so this is a decent option if you're playing an encounter where sustain DPS matters more than raw burst damage.
If you're playing PvP, Triple Tap with Killing Tally puts in some serious work. Landing headshots is a breeze on this archetype due to its low RPM, making it easy to proc Triple Tap to extend your Heavy ammo uptime.

Wilderflight
Wilderflight has seen a massive buff to its perk pool in Rite of the Nine. This is now a fantastic option for hotswap DPS rotations, featuring Envious Arsenal for easy reloading and Bait and Switch for a free 30 percent damage buff. If you're feeling adventurous, you can try Slideshot and Destabilizing Rounds for some absurd add clear potential, provided you can avoid blowing yourself up.
