Completing side quests grants Renown, which is important for unlocking bonuses like additional Skill Points and Paragon Points. Below, we'll take a look at The Keening Spirit side quest, including how to find the distressed spirit Bashe.

There is currently a bug with this quest where Bashe does not appear, thus making the quest incompletable.

How To Complete The Keening Spirit

To start The Keening Spirit, speak to Nunir in the southern corner of Kurast Bazaar in Nahantu. There are no story requirements for accepting this quest, so you can start it as soon as you reach Kurast Bazaar.

Next, head to the area to the south of the city to start looking for the spirit Bashe within the indicated quest area.

How To Find The Distressed Spirit Bashe

Bashe should appear in the top part of the indicated area, but this quest is currently bugged, causing Bashe to not appear, even after killing all enemies in the area. If this happens, the quest can't be completed.

You can try reloading the game or abandoning and restarting the quest, but this is not guaranteed to work.

If Bashe does appear, approaching him will cause a Spirit-Gorged Hollow Elite enemy to appear. Once this enemy is defeated, Bashe will walk away, and the quest will be complete.

Completing The Keening Spirit will reward you with some experience, gold, crafting materials, equipment, and 30 Renown for the Nahantu Region.
