Every Disney and Pixar character in Disney Dreamlight Valley has a role to play, and sometimes they need a little help finding it. Having so many diverse and unique personalities so close together leads to great innovation and creativity, but that doesn't mean that the village is a utopia free from problems.

Pumbaa feels comfortable in his new home, but he's noticed some familiar problems cropping up. He needs your help to get to the bottom of it and help him come up with a solution so he can continue to enjoy new foods without bothering the other villagers with his pungent aroma.

How To Make Pumbaa's Test Meals

When you reach friendship level two with Pumbaa, he'll ask for your help with something a little embarrassing. He's been enjoying restaurants in the village, but he's noticed people leaving when he enters. He needs you to ask around to see what's wrong.

Speak with Daisy Duck and Elsa about Pumbaa to learn that they're not angry with him, just a bit grossed out. Pumbaa has started to smell pretty foul, but they don't know why. Ask Remy what Pumbaa's been ordering lately to learn that he's been eating a lot of cheese–and it doesn't seem to agree with him.

Remy gives you some recipes to make so you can figure out if cheese is truly the problem. Below are the meals you need to cook and give to Pumbaa:

Meal

Recipe

Ingredients

Roasted Asparagus

  • Asparagus
  • Canola

Onion Puffs

  • Onion
  • Egg
  • Cheese

Minnie's Gingerbread Cookies

  • Wheat
  • Ginger

With all the meals in your inventory, bring them to Pumbaa. He notices that the cheese does make him feel sick, so he'll have to lay off it for a while. He also hasn't bathed in quite some time.

How To Make Pumbaa's Mud Bath

Since Pumbaa can't recall the last time he had a bath recently, it's probably a good idea to have one now. To make Pumbaa's mud bath, you'll need to gather some materials. The luxury mud bath requires these to craft:

  • Soil (8)
  • Sand (10)
  • Dry Wood (12)
  • Stone (15)

Head to your Crafting Station and put it all together, then place it anywhere you like in the village. Tell Pumbaa that it's time for his bath and he's ready to go. All that's left is to help him freshen up a bit more.

How To Help Pumbaa Freshen His Breath

Pumbaa will need to brush his teeth, but he doesn't have the supplies to do so. You'll need to ask several villagers for extra items, including a toothbrush, toothpaste, and mint.

Talk to Sulley, the Beast, and Minnie Mouse to get an idea of where to look. Here's where you can find items for Pumbaa:

Character

Item

Location

Minnie Mouse

Mint

Frosted Heights

Sulley

Praying Mint-is Toothpaste

Mike and Sulley's Apartment

The Beast

Spare Toothbrush

Beast's Castle

After you collected the toothbrush supplies, bring it all to Pumbaa. He'll thank you and freshen up, then ask if you can go to Chez Remy with him since he's nervous.

When you get there, listen to Timon and Pumbaa talk before chatting with Pumbaa one last time. He's grateful for all your help and the quest concludes!
