We Just Got A Ton Of New Disney Lorcana Reveals, Including Attack Of The Vine's Enchanted Cards
Another incredible Lorecast is in the books, and we now know a whole lot more about the next Disney Lorcana set, Attack of the Vine, as well as having more info on the next two sets and a Illumineer's Quest. We at TheGamer also have seven exclusive new cards to preview, which can be found in a dedicated reveal.
We already knew that this set would be the culmination, at least for now, of the vine storyline, which has been present through Winterspell and Wilds Unknown. We also know that Monsters Inc characters would be the focus of the set, but when it comes to the enchanted cards, Ravensburger has gone in an entirely different direction.
Attack Of The Vine
Enchanted Cards Revealed
As the priority for this Lorecast, we got plenty of exciting Attack of the Vine reveals, the biggest of which is the return of dual ink cards, and the selection of two of these cards as the headliner enchanted cards. Belle & Beast, Certain as the Sun (Ruby and Sapphire), and Lilo & Stitch, Fun-Loving Friends (Amber and Steel) are the enchanted cards for Attack of the Vine.
I was a huge fan of the designs for Wilds Unknown, going so far as to say that they were my favorite since Fabled, but these two cards are exceptional and well worth the slot as headliners. They're inspired by classic movie posters with a picture-in-picture design that also lends to the thrill of pulling such a rare card.
Product Lineup Reveals Prerelease Kits Are Back
Following their successful introduction in Wilds Unknown, the prerelease kits are back and largely unchanged for Attack of the Vine. This time, rather than a postcard, you'll get one of three cool movie posters themed to the set. You'll also get one of six possible promo cards for the set.
Illumineer's Trove and booster packs also remain unchanged, and there will be playmats also released alongside the set, as expected.
Another big product releasing within the Attack of the Vine window is The Great Hunny Rescue Illumineer's Quest, which launches on October 2 with an MSRP of $59.99.
More Pixar Franchises Join The Fight
In addition to Monsters Inc, we have a few more Pixar franchises debuting during Attack of the Vine, including Turning Red and Up. The Vine itself will also be getting a card, and we're seeing some villains reappear not as glimmers but as Vineling characters spawned by the Vine using flood ink.
Dual Inks Return
As already alluded to with the enchanted cards, dual ink cards are returning for the first time since Whispers in the Well to help diversify deck building, with cards such as Christopher Robin, Hunny Sage also rocking two colors in addition to the enchanted headliners.
This is great for creative deckbuilding, and it comes at the perfect time, given the next topic of discussion.
Set Rotation Confirmed
We knew it was coming, but it's official: with the release of Attack of the Vine, year two sets are now completely out of the standard constructed rotation. For now, constructed play is made up of the following sets:
- Fabled
- Whispers in the Well
- Winterspell
- Wilds Unknown
- Attack of the Vine

Into The Inkdark
As for the Q1 2027 set, we previously got a teaser showing that Outward characters would debut in this set, but now we have a name and incredible key art of Hades looking like a heavy metal god, revealing the set's name as Into the Inkdark. If you look closer at this artwork, you'll also see teases for other villains, including Captain Hook, Jafar, and others.
We expect to get further teases of this set around the time of the Hyperia City Lorecast, much in the same way that we got Hyperia City teases during Attack of the Vine.
Stitch Set Coming In Q2 2027?
The final big teaser of this Lorecast was the reveal of key art for the Q2 2027 set, which shows Stitch and Leroy facing off in an intense staredown, suggesting that Stitch, or at least the realm of Lilo & Stitch, will take centre stage for a new Lorcana set next year.
