After nearly 10 whole years, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 has finally added a Super Saiyan variant of Goku and Vegeta's Whis outfits as part of the game's final update.

Unsurprisingly for a game that's been supported for close to a decade, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 has a lot of content, almost to an overwhelming degree. That being said, there are also several characters, transformations, abilities, costumes, and more that simply haven't made it into the game in all those years.

A great example of this is Goku and Vegeta's iconic Whis gis from Resurrection F, which do exist in Xenoverse 2 as both costumes for your Time Patroller and for the pair themselves, but have some weird restrictions. That has finally been fixed in the game's last big update, which has randomly added a new option for the partner versions of Goku and Vegeta.

Xenoverse 2's Goku And Vegeta Can Finally Go Super Saiyan In Their Whis Outfits

And It Only Took Nine And A Bit Years

One of the most frustrating things about Xenoverse 2's character variants is that you have very little control over what moves and forms characters can use in specific outfits. Goku and Vegeta are great examples of this, as several of their variants simply don't have the transformation you'd want them to.

The Whis gis are a perfect example of this, as Goku and Vegeta can't transform into Super Saiyan while wearing them, simply because they didn't in the movie and because Xenoverse says you can't. As pointed out by Redditor NickolaConagher, that's finally changed with the last update, which adds some "special costumes" for custom characters.

Those special costumes include the Whis gis for both Goku and Vegeta, and since they're for the custom characters, you can choose which transformation they can use. In a separate tweet, NickolaConagher showed off the two using Super Saiyan in these outfits, confirming once and for all that one of the strangest oddities in Xenoverse 2 has been fixed.

This outfit taking so long is reminiscent of the situation with Vegeta's Cell Saga armour, which was only added to the game last year alongside the Daima DLC.
