In order to get stronger in Evil West and put down those Vampires for good, you’re going to need to upgrade your gear. Unfortunately, nothing comes cheap in the old west but it’s not hard to build up those funds as the game is pretty generous with its currency.

Your main form of income is going to be from Bucks, these pickups are bags of cash that have been left around the game's missions. The amount varies per level, but there’s a lot of them to hunt for on each chapter. Most of them are easy to encounter and close to the main path, but there are a few hidden just out of the way that they can be easily missed. Since every penny counts and because those upgrades can get pretty pricey, here’s where to find all the Bucks pickups in Evil West.
Chapter 1: The Questionable Cargo
Bucks Gold: 1/9
Found at the start of the mission. After you swing across a gap and drop down a ledge, turn around and it’ll be behind you.
Bucks Gold: 2/9
After your first arena fight. Turn left and hop a barricade, open the chest nearby and it’ll dump 181 bucks.
Bucks Gold: 3/9
To the right of the crashed wagon with chains. Follow the short path to find Bucks near a corpse.
Bucks Gold: 4/9
To the left of this entrance before you head into a small mine section.
Bucks Gold: 5/9
When you cross onto the collapsing bridge for the first time, turn right. Some bucks will be on the floor by some logs.
Bucks Gold: 6/9
After encountering your first Jenu Giant, hop over the barricade and look right. I’ll be on some boxes.
Bucks Gold: 7/9
Found inside a collapsed carriage after another fight where Edgar helps. Look for chains, hop across a board and drop inside to find them.

Found inside a glowing box before you have to crawl under a gore-covered Train Car.

On top of some coffins by a ruined tree after you sneak under the Train Car.
Chapter 2: The Raid

Available right at the beginning across a bridge inside a glowing box. Break it to get the Bucks.

After your encounter with the Gunslingers, your next Bucks pickup will be in the barn directly behind them. It’s on the right side.

Turn right after hopping down from the barn to find 154 Bucks in a chest.
Bucks Gold: 4/11
Look up after the previous chest and shoot down the hanging man. He’ll have Bucks in his pockets.

At the T-Junction, turn leftand hop over the gap. There’s a glowing crate with Bucks inside.
Bucks Gold: 6/11
Once the arena fight with the Snipers is done, go to the shack on the left of the arena. There are Bucks at the back of this shed.

Before dropping into the mine entrance, go left into the spare room. There are some Bucks on a table next to the windows.

Behind three tipped minecarts after the first junction in the mines after blowing up TNT boxes.

Along the main path after the second set of TNT, it’s by some minecarts.

After collecting your second D’Abano lore note, look left. Blow up the TNT and follow the passage to find 159 Bucks in a chest.

During the arena fight on the cliff edge, look for the chains near the drop. Shimmy along and there’s a chest with 205 Bucks in it.
Chapter 3: The First Spark

Before going into the Manor, go to the crates on the left by the horses to find some Bucks.

Upstairs in the Library of the Rentier Institute Manor inside a bookcase.

Once the cutscene finishes, go through the gap and keep right. It’ll be hidden amongst some burning wreckage.

Found along the main path inside a room with barrels and injured Institute members. There’s a chest on the left side wall with 383 Bucks inside.

Inside a glowing box along the main path after you activate a Power Switch.

During the arena fight in the Tesla Coil room, look amongst the shelves on the right wall to find some Bucks.
Bucks Gold: 7/12
On the ground floor room of the Vampire Noble head storage room. Follow the stairs around and it’s on the left.

Staying on the ground floor of the previous room, head to the back left and it will be inside a glowing box on a stretcher.
Bucks Gold: 9/12
Before heading into the elevator to leave the burning archives. Look for a destructible chain, behind this are some Bucks.

As you go through the burning airship, there will be a section where you need to crawl through a gap. Break the chain on the right before this to find a small bag of Bucks.

After colling the Zapper recharge, head to the right of the area to find another chain. Break it apart and there’s a glowing box to smash with more Bucks inside.
Bucks Gold: 12/12
After slipping through the cracked-apart wall back into the Institute, look for some flipped-over beds. Behind them is a chest with 296 Bucks inside.

Chapter 4: From Dusk Till Dawn
Bucks Gold: 1/7
At the start of the level look at the hanging corpse on the tree. Shoot it down to grab the first Bucks pickup for this chapter.
Bucks Gold: 2/7
Head right from the previous pickup and detonate the TNT. Behind it will be a chest with 237 Bucks inside.
Bucks Gold: 3/7
Along the main path after you go through a big gate. There will be a glowing box amongst some crates on the right and inside is some Bucks.
Bucks Gold: 4/7
After taking down the Leecher, hop over the barricade and look up. There’s a body to shoot down and it’ll drop some Bucks when you do.
Bucks Gold: 5/7
Found once you regroup and after the cutscene. It’s inside a glowing box nearby that’s hard to miss.
Bucks Gold: 6/7
Besides the previous glowing box is another hanging body. Drop it down with a bullet and grab its Bucks.

Turn around after dropping the body to see a barricade and some boxes. Blast it apart and the last of this chapters Bucks is in a chest.
Chapter 5: The Devil’s Pass
Bucks Gold: 1/19
Head down to the holding cells in the Rentier Institute. In the second room on the left on top of a barrel is your first Bucks pickup for this Chapter.

Beside the vault door amongst some boxes in the Engineering section of the Rentier Institutes hideout.

Follow the path down the hill and it’s on some boxes by the coaches. Easy grab.
Bucks Gold: 4/19
Keep right and follow the path around to a dead end and chest with 368 Bucks inside.
Bucks Gold: 5/19
Head back to the main path. Immediately on your right after leaving the previous path will be a glowing box with Bucks inside.
Bucks Gold: 6/19
Follow the left path after the Bandit encounter. Continue until you see a waterfall and underneath it will be Bucks.
Bucks Gold: 7/19
After dealing with the Werewolves for the first time, look at the hanging body on the tree to their left. Shoot it down to get some Bucks.
Bucks Gold: 8/19
After shimmying along a ledge and falling down there will be this bridge. Look to the left in the scrubs to find Bucks on a box.
Bucks Gold: 9/19
After the arena fight with Gunslingers and Brutes, look for chains hanging off a ledge. Climb up this to find a chest with 113 Bucks inside.
Bucks Gold: 10/19
Squeeze through the hole to the next area and shoot the nearby TNT. Behind it will be another chest with 179 Bucks inside.

As you go up the nearby incline, pause before interacting with the chains. Directly behind you will be a glowing box with Bucks inside up a very short path.

In this same spot, look left to see your next pile of Bucks to collect. To get these, push the nearby minecart into position to create a bridge.

Staying in the same area, look to the back wall where the collapsed mine entrance is. Some Bucks are on boxes right next to it.
Bucks Gold: 14/19
Cross across your minecart bridge again and drop down. Immediately turn right and there are some Bucks on a rock by some bushes.
Bucks Gold: 15/19
At the nearby T-Junction, take the left path and you’ll see Bucks on rocks near the ground.
Bucks Gold: 16/19
Immediately on the left after the previous area. You’ll be on a ledge underneath waterfalls, and the Bucks are inside a glowing box to smash.
Bucks Gold: 17/19
After dropping down from the last box, look left by a collapsed log. There’s another glowing box to break and Bucks to grab.
Bucks Gold: 18/19
Going from the previous Bucks, keep left to find a barricade to break and 135 Bucks in a chest to pick up.

Inside the water-logged cave fight, go to the back of the room and there’s the last of this levels Bucks to grab.
Chapter 6: Remote RI Outpost
Bucks Gold: 1/22
Head into the Rentier Institute Hideout and go into the main planning room. By the big window next to a worker is your first of this chapter's Bucks.
Bucks Gold: 2/22
Go into Vergil’s Laboratory and look for the Perk Reset machine. Way off to the right of this will be a glowing box with Bucks in it.
Bucks Gold: 3/22
Head into the basement once more and go into the second room on the right. On top of a table will be Bucks.
Bucks Gold: 4/22
Found inside a glowing box along the main path when you start in the Mining Compound.
Bucks Gold: 5/22
Head through the door after the last collectible and look up at the hanging body on the crane. Shoot it down to get more Bucks.
Bucks Gold: 6/22
Finish the fight in the trainyard and go over to the shack on the left. Hop the barricade and inside is a chest to break with 333 Bucks inside.
Bucks Gold: 7/22
In this same area, head into the large Train Shed. Immediately go left and behind some Coal Carts is another Bucks pickup to grab.
Bucks Gold: 8/22
During the Minecart and Power Switch puzzle, look for the hanging corpse on a nearby roof. Shoot it down and it’ll give you Bucks.
Bucks Gold: 9/22
Inside a glowing box next to one of the Power Switches. It’s impossible to miss. Break it apart and they’re yours.
Bucks Gold: 10/22
Found directly opposite the previous box and next to the second Power Switch. Push the Minecart that’s below you over there to get to it.
Bucks Gold: 11/22
In this same area, but on the right-hand side from the previous collectible. Swing across a ledge and look behind a pile of boxes to find more Bucks.
Bucks Gold: 12/22
When you meet back up with Vergil, head towards the shack at the back left. There will be a gap to squeeze through that leads to a pile of junk and some Bucks.
Bucks Gold: 13/22
Head back out into the main arena area from this last pickup and go to the opposite end from your position. Hop over the barricade and grab the Bucks that are back there.
Bucks Gold: 14/22
In this same area, you’ll have to climb up a chain. Go up there, continue up the stairs and immediately turn right, there’s Bucks on top of boxes that are easy to miss.
Bucks Gold: 15/22
Behind the second Power Switch for this area, there will be stairs. Go up them and at the top is a pile of Bucks to get.
Bucks Gold: 16/22
After powering up the second board a Gondola will come towards you to take Jessie to the next switch. There are some Bucks on this platform.
Bucks Gold: 17/22
Directly behind the third Power Switch is a barricade to break. Smash it apart and there’s a chest with 286 Bucks within.
Bucks Gold: 18/22
Once Jessies had his little Minecart ride, drop down and look to the right towards the Lighthouse. There’s Bucks on some crates by the collapsed track.

When you get into the mines, detonate the nearby TNT to reveal some Bucks on the ground

After dealing with the Infected Vessels, keep right along the tunnel, and on some nearby boxes is the next pile of Bucks.

On a box on the left after you leave the mine and continue along the main path.

When you finally meet up with Vergil again, turn around after the arena fight to see a hanging body. Shoot it down and it’ll drop the last of this chapters Bucks.

Chapter 7: Smoke And Mirrors

At the start of the level, look to the left by some workbenches to find the first Bucks piles of this chapter.

Head into the Planning Room of the Hideout and go up the stairs to the office. The Bucks are on a box opposite the small table.
Bucks Gold: 3/24
As you head toward the Sawmill. Keep to the left and Bucks will be hidden by the huge pile of chopped logs.
Bucks Gold: 4/24
In the same spot where the Glamour Hearts appear there will be a glowing box. Break it open to find Bucks inside.
Bucks Gold: 5/24
Cross over the river using the logs to head towards the second Glamour Heart. Before you hop up into the first fight arena there are Bucks on the ground on the right.
Bucks Gold: 6/24
Found opposite the Glamour Heart and immediately after collecting Felicity’s Diary Entry, it’s next to some logs.
Bucks Gold: 7/24
After destroying the second Glamour Heart, shimmy across the log. On a stump on the right is your next Bucks collectible.
Bucks Gold: 8/24
Finish the arena fight and climb up some chains near the entrance. Follow the short path to a chest with 216 Bucks.

Continue on to the Sawmill and on the right on a stump is a bag of Bucks to take home.
Bucks Gold: 10/24
At the top of the Sawmill, there are TNT boxes next to a shed. Shoot these and behind them will be another pile of Bucks.

Behind the shed in this same area is a chest with 339 Bucks inside. Detonate the TNT behind the shack to open it up if you can’t reach it.
Bucks Gold: 12/24
Before jumping on the zipline to get back to the Glamour Wall, look left. There’s a glowing box and inside are Bucks to grab.
Bucks Gold: 13/24
Once you break the Glamour and do the big arena fight, hop up the ledge, follow the path and look left. There will be a glowing box with Bucks inside.
Bucks Gold: 14/24
Continue up the hill and look at the broken shack. There’s a short path that’ll loop you around to a hidden chest and some Bucks on a barrel.
Bucks Gold: 15/24
Found on a boulder along the main path into the Leech Forest. It’s hard to miss since it’s right in the open at eye level.

After burning through brambles to get into the forest, immediately go left. Behind a tree is a glowing box with Bucks inside.

Run directly opposite this collectible and burn some brambles. Behind them will be a chest with 356 Bucks inside.

In the next area after you hop up a ledge. Look to the right by the bloated Leeches and there are Bucks on the ground.

Before dropping down into the woods, go left to grab some bucks on a barrel after swinging over a gap.

Continue along the path into the woods. There’ll be an ambush by Infected Wasters, above them is a body. Drop it down with a bullet and take its Bucks.

Retrace your steps to the left side of the area and there will be a chest behind some brambles to burn down.
Bucks Gold: 22/24
Directly opposite the previous chest will be a hill with a chain at the top of it. Go up this path but keep right and there’s a glowing box to smash and Bucks to take.

Head back to the chain and hop across. Clear out the Infected on this little spot and then open the nearby chest to get 216 Bucks.
Bucks Gold: 24/24
After walking through the giant, dead and Leech-covered creature, look between your new slimy friends. There will be a bag of Bucks hidden between them just after you hop up the ledge.
Chapter 8: Pharmakon

As the chapter begins, look left and on a Saloon table is the first Bucks bag on this level.

Head through the hidden door of the hideout and look for a man sweeping. Past him on the right is a glowing box with Bucks inside.
Bucks Gold: 3/34
In the basement in the second room on the right next to the torture chair. It’s on a surgical table.

At the first fork in the road in the swamp, go left. On some crates will be Bucks.
Bucks Gold: 5/34
After your first arena fight, climb up the chain ledge and look right. There will be a glowing box to break with Bucks within.
Bucks Gold: 6/34
From the previous collectible, go straight and look left. There’s a hanging body, shoot it down to grab the Bucks in its pockets.
Bucks Gold: 7/34
After you get the Rentier X-Bow, look for a shack on the left in the reeds nearby. Inside this shed is a glowing box with Bucks.
Bucks Gold: 8/34
Once you get to test the X-Bow, hop over the nearby fence and keep right. There will be bushes to burn and behind them is another glowing Bucks box.
Bucks Gold: 9/34
Back on the main path once more, again look for another right turn. This will lead you to burnable bushes and a chest to crack open with 241 Bucks inside.
Bucks Gold: 10/34
After crouching under a log shortly after this last collectible, keep left. There’s crates with Bucks on top.
Bucks Gold: 11/34
In this same area are bushes to burn and a small path that leads to a shack and a destructible door. Break apart these barricades to claim the chest they’re hiding and the 250 Bucks inside.

Retrace your steps and head to the opposite side of this area. Burn the bushes and follow the trail to Bucks on a crate.
Bucks Gold: 13/34
Continue along this new path and you’ll see a hanging body. Shoot it down for their Bucks.
Bucks Gold: 14/34
When you encounter a big stone pillar, smash through the barricade next to it. Behind it is more cash to claim.
Bucks Gold: 15/34
In the cobwebs and spider-covered section, look for a burnable icon on webbing on the left. Use the Scorcher and you’ll find a chest with 229 Bucks.
Bucks Gold: 16/34
Found on the main path immediately after the previous collectible. There’s a glowing box with Bucks inside that’s ripe for smashing.
Bucks Gold: 17/34
After the Stalker mini-boss fight, follow the mission marker into the next area but stop before getting on the boat. On the left will be Bucks.
Bucks Gold: 18/34
Enjoy your boat ride. Once it ends head to the stone pillars and keep right. Wedged underneath is your next Bucks pickup.
Bucks Gold: 19/34
Found after the first arena fight in this new area and in the same spot as the Susan Lore Note. Look for a hanging body on the right, it’s got your next Bucks pickup.

After squeezing through the nearby chain-covered gap, look for the barricade on the left. Break it open and there’s Bucks on some boxes.

On the sinking stone bridge, take the right junction. There’s Bucks on boxes, but don’t dawdle as you’ll end up in the toxic sludge below.

After breaking through the barricade on the bridge, your next Bucks pickup will be on a barrel in front of you.

On the second sinking bridge, take the left forking path and smash the barricade. Behind it will be more cash to claim.

In this same area, go onto the bridge but keep going right. Way at the back will be another Bucks pickup. But be fast as it’s a lot of sinking ground to cover.
Bucks Gold: 25/34
After the fourth bridge to reach safe ground, look for a chain to shoot. Climb it, turn around and use it to get a clear shot at the other chain nearby. Go climb that one and there’s a chest at the top with 221 Bucks to grab.

Ride the zipline and look for a shed next to a torch. Inside it is a glowing box with Bucks.
Bucks Gold: 27/34
Immediately after the previous box, squeeze through the gap and look right. There’s a hanging man in a tree to shoot down that will drop Bucks.

After the arena fight next to the dilapidated church, look for a Scarecrow. Next to it is a hidden path and a glowing box with Bucks to break.
Bucks Gold: 29/34
Leave the arena and at the first fork in the path go right. There’s a short trail and a chest with 347 Bucks at the end of it.

Next to the Church entrance on the left are some boxes. On top of these are Bucks.

Enter the church and head to the podium. Behind it on the left is some Bucks on a table.

Underneath the Church, burn the cobwebs in the tunnel on the right. Follow the path and burn the next set on the right again to reveal Bucks on the ground in an alcove.

After squeezing through the chain gap in this same area, burn the webs on the right. Behind them are more Bucks once again.

Upon exiting the tunnel system, look to your immediate left. There’s a ledge to climb up and at the top is the last of this levels Bucks.

Chapter 9: Where Oil Tastes Like Blood

Go to the Kitchens at the back of the Saloon. Next to the resident Chef is a glowing box with Bucks inside.

In the Engineering Section of the Hideout, look for the Perk Reset machine. There’s Bucks on some boxes off to the right.

Found by the entrance to Virgils Workshop. It’s on top of some barrels behind Virgil, so it’s not hard to miss.

After using the Zipline at the start of the chapter, go right. There are TNT boxes to blow up and behind them are Bucks.

Drop down into the next area. Off to the right by a Telegraph Post is a glowing box with Bucks, it’s out in the open so you can’t miss it.

Swing across the Oil and immediately in front of you will be the next Bucks pickup you need.

After your first big combat encounter, look for TNT next to an Oil Derrick. There are chains to slip through and at the end of this short path is another glowing box with Bucks inside.

Found on some boxes on the left immediately after the previous collectible. You need to drop down into a new section to get to it, but it’s easy to see from a mile away.

After swinging across the oil in this same spot, look to your immediate right. On top of some rotten barrels are Bucks.

Keep left after the previous collectible as you go along the wooden beam bridges. Behind a barricade and up a small hill is a chest with 405 Bucks to grab.

Found on some barrels on the left by the Oil when you first encounter the stranded workers.

After finishing the arena fight once you meet the workers, go under a gap and look right. There’s a glowing box with Bucks by an old crane.

In the dam counterweight puzzle, it’s on a shelf inside a shack with some trapped workers.

Inside the same area, go onto the raised wooden platform. There’s a glowing box to bust open for its Bucks.

Break the first counterweight and it’ll open up a path. Go along this and there’s 142 Bucks to grab.
Bucks Gold: 16/29
Run all the way along the dam to the end. There will be boxes and another stash of cash to take home.

Discoverable post-dam draining, in the newly opened area keep left and go under some logs. There’s a short trail to Bucks on a pile of boxes that’s easy to miss.

After you deal with a Werewolf ambush, burst through the barricade and go up the hill. On the right will be some barrels with Bucks sitting on them.

Found during a Power Switch puzzle to open up the warehouse, it’s next to the mission marker. They’re inside a glowing box, so you know what to do by now.

Go left from the previous glowing box and over a small barricade. Inside a shack there will be Bucks to collect.
Bucks Gold: 21/29
At the back of this puzzle area is a big red barn. On its right side is a wagon and behind it is some TNT boxes. Detonate them and go inside to get more Bucks in a box.
Bucks Gold: 22/29
Found in the same area, climb up the ladder next to the barn and bust the barricade at the back to get your next pile of Bucks in a box at the end of a small path between some old cargo.
Bucks Gold: 23/29
Head past the Workbench to the end of the walkway. There's a glowing box behind some workmen.
Bucks Gold: 24/29
At the exit of the Warehouse, look up. There’s a chain to shoot, climb it to the platform above for more Bucks to bag up and take home.
Bucks Gold: 25/29
After leaving the Warehouse, keep left once you break the barricade. There’s Bucks behind the nearby barrels and another barricade to bust to get to them.

Ride the elevator of the burning rig and as you head to the mission marker, hug the left side. There’s Bucks on some boxes that are easy to miss, but you’ll automatically grab them if you’re close enough.

Upon entering the new burning area with Oil Derricks, go behind the first one on the left. Right at the back are some Bucks.

Keep pushing left in this same area and you’ll encounter a building you can run through. Inside and behind some machinery is the next Bucks pickup.

Go all the way to the right of this same large open area and look for a collapsed tower. It’s got a lot of barrels next to it and there will be a short path behind it that leads to a chest with 541 Bucks.
Chapter 10: Bats In The Belfry

Your first cash collectible is found in the Planning Room. It’s by the big window on a table on the right side of the room.

In the machinery room opposite the previous collectible. It’s on the table that’s between two large pieces of machinery and some workers.
Bucks Gold: 3/30
Head down into the holding cells and Morgue in the rooms on the immediate right. It’s in the first room right at the back.

As you start the mission properly, look for some haybales after you break through the barricade. There are Bucks on top of them.
Bucks Gold: 5/30
Opposite the previous cash collectible. Cut right the fork and your next Bucks pickup will be close to the huge pile of corpses.

In the immediate next area, look to the left. There will be some old boxes and on top of those will be Bucks to grab.

Continue around the corner from this previous pickup and shoot down the hanging body on the Telegraph Pole. It’s got the next bag of cash you need.

After your first big arena fight in the Rodeo Ring, leave the area and there will be a glowing box directly ahead of you. Break it apart to get your next collection of Bucks.

Directly left of the last box, look for a wagon next to the burning timber. Behind it is some TNT boxes which once detonated will reveal a chest with 369 Bucks.

Continue along the path until you see a burning house on the right. In front of this old dilapidated shack is some more Bucks inside a glowing box.

After you slip through the fence opening, look for another rundown house. There’s TNT in front of it that can be blown up to reveal a chest with another 369 Bucks inside.

Leave the shed and turn right. Head along that path and there will be a house with a glowing box on its porch. Bust it open to get more Bucks.

Retrace your steps and head to the next enemy encounter by the crystal-covered trees. Beat them into a pulp and then look for a cart at the back of this area. Inside it is another bag of cash.

After the next enemy encounter, look for a tipped-over cart on the right of the area. There’s a barrel with some cash on it to the left of this.

Near to the previous collectible will be a bridge. Go right instead of crossing it and follow the path around. It will lead into some Lumber Sheds and a chest with 350 Bucks inside.

After crossing the bridge, keep right and go into the Sawmill on the immediate right, inside behind some logs are Bucks.

Continue going up the short incline. Look to the right by a burning Carriage. There’s Bucks on a box.

Opposite the Felicity’s Diary collectible on the left of the path. It’s inside an old wood storage shed.

After dealing with Felicity’s mutated friends, bash the barricade at the back of the area and immediately go right. There’s a glowing box with Bucks to grab that you can easily run past.

A few feet away from the last collectible will be a hanging corpse. Shoot it down to take the Bucks its got hidden in its pockets.

Before going into the big Stables, keep left. There are Bucks on top of a box in front of an old boarded-up house.

In this same area, before entering the Stables go to the right side. Right at the back will be more bucks hidden away from open view.

Inside the Stables, look up and to the right. There’s another corpse to shoot down with Bucks to claim.

After completing the Power Switch puzzle, enter the house and go upstairs. There’s a barricade to break and a cash chest with 385 Bucks ripe for the picking.

Head out onto the balcony and sprint to the end. On top of some barrels before you drop down will be another bag of Bucks.

Keep going on and when you head up some stairs immediately go right. There’s a glowing box with Bucks inside that is another of those easily missed collectibles in Evil West.

As you continue along the main path there will be some TNT on the left. Detonate it to get access to a chest with 367 Bucks.

Directly opposite the previous collectible is a small alley. Run down it and break the door at the end. It will lead to a small room with a chest that contains 420 Bucks.

Head through the crystal-covered opening in this same area and go right in the next room. On top of the counter will be another bag of Bucks.
Bucks Gold: 30/30
As you go along the main street and toward the end of the level, keep an eye on the right side. There’s TNT amongst the crystals that hides the last chest of this chapter with 434 Bucks in it.
