How To Complete The Max. 87 Rated Icon Upgrade SBC

This Icon SBC requires three squads to complete, but the second and third are mirrors of each other. The first one requires a slightly lower-rated team to complete but requires a Team of the Week card, whereas the latter only needs one 87-rated or higher card.

Don't feel too discouraged if these cards are lower-rated, as some of them are still really strong for the early stages of FC 25 Ultimate Team. With one of the best Role options in EA FC 25 (Poacher++) and great overall stats, Torres is the ideal attacker to get from the 87 Icon Upgrade pack. Plus, his four-star skill moves, four-star weak foot, and Finesse Shot+ play style make him extremely useful in front of the net.

Claude Makelele

Forever one of the best small defensive players for the midfield in EA FC, Makelele is quick and amazing at interceptions. He won't be scoring often, but he'll be making your transition play and overall defense easier.

Frank Rijkaard

Rijkaard is great for a myriad of reasons: versatility in both the midfield and at centre-back, Intercept+ for the best interceptions, Lengthy acceleRATE, and even Power Shot and a four-star weak foot if you want to play him more offensively.

Nemanja Vidić

As for pure centre-backs, Vidić is still the gold standard for a tall, strong, fast and capable defender. Outside of the defending and physical stats, Slide Tackle+ and Aerial are what make Vidić so tough to get around or over.

Gianfranco Zola

Zola is the second-best offensive card you can get in this SBC. He's extremely quick and agile, with good skill moves and weak foot, and can play both the CAM and ST positions. That makes him really easy to fit into teams, while his Finesse Shot+ can make both ranged and close shots clinical.

While those are the top five, some other great Icons available from this SBC include Robert Pirès, Emmanuel Petit, John Barnes, and Gianluca Zambrotta. There are still plenty of other Icons at or lower than 87 rating that are useable, but there are a few that don't fit the gameplay of FC 25 well.

For the cost of the SBC, there is around a 35 percent chance that an account will get a card worth less than the overall price of the SBC in coins. That cost will vary depending on what cards the account already had before completing the SBC, so there is a potential that accounts with a ton of leftover players could complete this SBC for cheap or free.

If you complete the SBC and see the flag of France, you are guaranteed to acquire a good player. However, if you see Wales or Argentina, you'll be getting one of the cheaper and lower-rated Icon cards available in this SBC.
