Halloween might be more than three months away, but dedicated fans of the spooky holiday think about it all year round. That’s why Spirit Halloween’s signature animatronic for 2026, an officially licensed, full-size Freddy Fazbear, is already on display.

Freddy Fazbear Now Has His Own Terrifying Animatronic

Five Nights at Freddy’s leading mascot will be haunting front lawns and scaring kids in real life, not just through video games and movies, across North America this year thanks to the new animatronic. The first clip of the robot Freddy in action was shared by not_ur_average_j0e. If you want to see it in the flesh - or the fur - you can do so by visiting Spirit Halloween’s flagship store, where the animatronic is currently on display.

Now that the living Freddy Fazbear decoration has been revealed, it’s only a matter of time until it starts appearing in Spirit Halloween locations all over the US, so I wouldn’t go too far out of your way to pay the one in the video a visit. If you plan on making it a part of your own Halloween setup this year, though, the price might be scarier than Freddy himself.

Freddy's Animatronic Costs $500

To become the proud owner of a Freddy Fazbear animatronic, you’re going to have to part with $500. On the bright side, that’s a lot less than it costs for a brand-new PS5 or Series X|S nowadays. Unlike those consoles, however, the animatronic can’t play Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach.

As the FNAF movies have demonstrated, fans of the series will be happy with pretty much anything, as long as it’s officially connected to the Freddy’s universe. For the most part, that appears to be the case for this life-size animatronic. There are some elements fans have taken issue with, though.

The squeaking is the biggest complaint people seem to have. You can hear Freddy creaking away in the video, which does take away from its intended fear factor. That also appears to be the only sound it makes, although there may be voice recordings that simply weren’t captured during the short clip.

The animatronic also doesn’t seem to come with the stage set Spirit Halloween has used as a display. That $500 just gets you a big old robot Freddy with glowing eyes that will wave to trick-or-treaters as they walk up your path to get some free candy. If neither the price nor the problems people have with the animatronic bother you, then Freddy can be yours for $500 this spooky season.
