A new Fortnite season has kicked off this weekend and if you were preoccupied watching Friday's in-game event and waiting for the servers to fire back up this morning, you might have missed another announcement slipped in to mark the start of the new season. Official confirmation that Fortnite's rumored PS5 slim bundle is real, what it will include, and when it will be released.

PlayStation console bundles tend to include games like NBA 2K25 or God Of War Ragnarok because those are games you'd otherwise have to buy separately. It might seem a little strange on the surface to sell a console that's bundled with Fortnite because since the live service game is free, it's technically bundled with every console. You'll get more than just a Fortnite-branded PS5 box with your new console if you grab one once it has been released on November 22, 2024, though.

While the leading reason for PlayStation teaming with Epic for a Fortnite bundle a month before Christmas is so children ask their parents for the Fortnite PS5 when they see them on store shelves and online, the console also comes bundled with some in-game Fortnite goodies. Most notably the Cobalt Snowfoot outfit that is featured front and center on the PS5's box. Judging by the ad for the bundle PlayStation debuted following Friday night's event, the only way to get that skin will be by buying a brand new slim PS5.

So Expect To Start Seeing The Exclusive Skin It Comes With To Start Appearing In-Game After That

Wearing that skin will be quite the statement, particularly early on as anyone you encounter in-game after that will know you have a brand new slim PS5. I love my Spider-Gwen outfit, but if I'm spending $500 on a new console and that console comes with an exclusive skin I can use to demonstrate that, I'm wearing that skin and never taking it off. The same goes for all of the other cosmetics the Cobalt Star bundle comes with, all of which are listed below. You'll also get 1,000 V-Bucks with the bundle to spend on anything you like.

The event that brought the curtain down on Fortnite's last season and started the new one confirmed that this new season will have a rapper theme, bringing some new skins based on real-life artists such as Snoop Dogg and Ice Spice. One of the other big reveals to kick off the new season was that players will soon be able to pop a pair of Jordans to select skins.
