The six missions included in the Los Santos Drug Wars update of Grand Theft Auto Online encompassan arc called First Dose. They all generally have multiple stages and end with you leaving a trail of enemy bodies in your wake. The fourth mission of the arc, Uncontrolled Substance, differs from this trend by being more of a visual spectacle.

Your friends dose you with some of their product and your character has an intense hallucination. While most of the mission is straightforward, a couple of parts might make you stuck. Follow this guide to know where these moments are and how to pass them with flying colors. Believe us, there are a lot of flying colors in this mission.

Uncontrolled Substance Walkthrough

Because this mission is not combat-heavy, there is no need to stock up on ammunition, armor, and healing items. You likely won't get lost as the whole mission simply has you proceeding forward.

As far as we have tested, it seems impossible to fail this mission. So while you might get stuck, fail, or fly off your vehicle and the map, you won't be sent back to any menu or forced to restart from a checkpoint

Starting The Mission

As the mission starts, your character starts hallucinating and Dax tells you to follow him. You start on a bicycle going through the storm drain. Eventually, trucks start coming your way and you are forced to dodge them. You then go through a portal that transports you to another part of the map.

This repeats several times and the whole ordeal is simple to read and understand despite the psychedelic visuals. Obstacles change with each warp tunnel, but the goal is always the same; progress forward and dodge.

Hover Bike On The Runway

This is the only part where any challenge comes into play. You are transported to a hoverbike on a runway. Here, enemies actually shoot at you and UFOs also shoot beams of light down at you as an attack. Going through the portal also isn't as simple as driving forward.

It is floating beyond a chain link fence. Moreover, light poles are in front of the fence. You can hover temporarily using the movement buttons by holding down. Don't activate this until the last possible moment, since you might not reach the portal otherwise.

The button to activate the jet on the bike is strong and it is easy to overshoot the jump if you use it. Fortunately, you have a seemingly infinite number of attempts.

Tunnel Of Colors

The only other confusing part of this tour is the tunnel you go through on a go-kart. After momentarily going straight, the controls literally reverse themselves. Forward is backward, back is forward, gas is reverse, etc. There is no time limit here, so take a second to orient yourself before continuing. Once you are out of here, the controls return to normal.

Freefalling

The last part of the mission puts you into a freefall. There are rings to fall through, though it is not mission failed if you miss them. You hit the ground and survive an otherwise impossible fall. Once this is done, the mission is completed.
