The developers of Gunfire Reborn have done a great job of keeping the game feel new and unique every time you raid the same dungeons, which you have to do over and over in the game. This is done by generating the rooms randomly and having a bunch of heroes that have their unique abilities.

All the heroes in the game have their own set of abilities that leads to different play styles and builds, and it takes quite a lot of time to unlock them all. Crown Prince is one of these characters, and he can be quite daunting to learn at first.
How To Unlock Crown Prince In Gunfire Reborn
While it takes a lot of time and effort or real money to unlock most of the characters in Gunfire Reborn, Crown Prince is not one of them. This hero is unlocked after you open the game and go through the tutorial that shows you how to use his abilities. He is the beginner character in the game that everyone can use.
Once unlocked, you can use this character to upgrade your talent tree and get multiple buffs, and you can also unlock further characters through this process.
Once you've unlocked this hero, you'll have two active abilities from the start and five passive abilities that can be unlocked after reaching a certain talent level. Here are all the Crown Prince's abilities.
Ability Name
Type
Description
Energy Orb
Active
Shoots an orb in the direction of your crosshair that deals damage to enemies upon impact and chains them for two seconds at the base level.
Smoke Grenade
Active
You have a set of three Smoke Grenades at the base level, and you can press the ability button to throw them in a certain trajectory. It gives the corrosion effect that deals regular damage to the enemies inside the area of effect.
Efficient Orb
Passive
Reduces the cooldown for Energy Orb by two seconds.
Mystic Guard
Passive
Increases the shield you have by 20. This is the blue bar above your health bar that regenerates automatically after not taking damage for a bit.
Large Area Smoke
Passive
Increases the radius of the Smoke Grenade by 40 percent.
Energy Charge
Passive
Crown Prince regenerates a five percent shield for every enemy hit by the Energy Orb.
Contingency Plan
Passive
Whenever you lose ten percent of your shield, the recovery speed for the same is increased by five percent and the recovery interval is decreased by five percent.
While the passive abilities for Crown Prince look juicy, it can be quite a trip to unlock them. You'll need to reach up to level 60 on the talent level to unlock all of these abilities.
Best Builds For Crown Prince
With every hero having different abilities, some specific builds can outshine them because of the synergy between the abilities, weapons, and Occult Scrolls. Here are a few builds and tips to use them that will take you a long way with Crown Prince:
Can't Touch The Crown Prince
As the name suggests, this build is entirely based on not letting the enemies get anywhere near you. Crown Prince has five points of movement speed which is one of the least in the entire game. This means that if an enemy gets close to you, it'll be hard to get away from them.
Thankfully, his abilities can stop this from happening because the Energy Orb freezes the enemy while the Smoke Grenade slows them down to a snail's speed. Here are the weapons you'll be looking for in this build:
Name
Function
Piercing Flame
This beautiful weapon is displayed in the picture above, and it can pierce enemies. Since you're not going to let enemies close to you, nothing seems like a better option to defeat your enemies than a sniper rifle like this.
Glimmering or Prism
These two are kunai-type weapons that can be hurled at enemies for massive damage. The only reason to avoid these weapons is because of the amount of precision and prediction of the enemy's movement required.
Since you can freeze them for two seconds or more with Crown Prince's abilities, you don't need much skill to hit them with these deadly weapons, making it easier to defeat them.
Even if you can freeze and slow the enemies, this build requires quite a bit of precision and aiming. You will still have to scope in with your sniper rifle and hit enemies at their weak spots to make the most out of your bullets.
Piercing Flame uses Special Bullets as well, and you can only carry 30 of them on the base level, with a little increase after some upgrades. So, you need to make all your shots count if you're going to use these weapons.
As for the Occult Scrolls, the best buffs that you can get for this build are the scrolls that buff your abilities. If you get lucky, you can get buffs that can increase the charges of your Energy Orb or Smoke Grenade. There are also many smaller buffs to these abilities increasing their damage or time of the freeze.
You can also try to claim some fire and corrosion damage increase buffs since you'll be applying those elements to enemies using Piercing Flame or Smoke Grenade respectively. This damage increase can go a long way in helping you get rid of the shields of different enemies.
Talking about shields, another reason to use Piercing Flame in this build is that it can hit the enemies that hold a physical shield through it. As the name suggests, it can pierce the hard shields to deal damage to the enemies behind it.
Electrocuted Demise
Not everyone likes to fight long-range with enemies, so this build is based on bringing them close to you. Most of the enemies can still fight you at close range, while some enemies can be extremely deadly. Here are a few tips to follow with this build:
- Pay attention to enemies like Horsehead, Rogue Arsonist, Dark-faced Bandit, and Elite Henchman. These enemies can be destructive at close-range and can take away your entire shield and health in one sweep. You should still avoid letting these get close to you, even with this build.
- Try to get as many Occult Scrolls as you can for increasing your Smoke Grenade's area of effect, time, or the amount you can keep. If you have enough of these, you can let any enemy get a little close but prevent them from getting too close.
With the Smoke Grenade applying a ton of Corrosion to the enemies, you just need to try and find close-range weapons that can apply Thunder to the enemies, and luckily there are quite a few choices:
Name
Function
Star Devourer
This weapon shoots bullets rapidly and reloads quickly whenever you're not using it. If you keep using Star Devourer constantly, it heats up and starts shooting bullets very slowly.
It is a great weapon for close-range, but it isn't able to deal any significant damage to the enemy at medium or long range.
Argus
This weapon is particularly satisfying to use because it can knock back enemies if they're too close to you. If the knocked-back enemy hits a wall on the way, they take extra damage apart from the weapon's damage itself.
This weapon can be a good replacement to prevent enemies from getting too close if you didn't get lucky with Smoke Grenade scrolls.
Thunderclap Gloves
Convert your arm to one that can shoot Thunder out of it with this weapon that has over 100 bullets in one magazine. It shoots out a ray of Thunder in the direction of your crosshair that constantly deals damage to the enemies it hits.
One thing to keep in check for this weapon is the bullet count because they can run out quicker than you imagine.
This can further be combined with the Scrolls that change your Energy Orb's element to the element of your current weapon. Most of the weapons mentioned above are great at close range, but both weapons other than Argus suffer at a longer range.
Suck Them Up
This build features only one weapon that synergizes perfectly with Crown Prince's Energy Orb ability. Bone Dragon, the weapon featured in the picture above, creates a black hole if it hits an enemy or a solid surface. This sucks all the enemies in before exploding and dealing damage to them.
As mentioned above, Energy Orb can hit multiple enemies at the same time. With this build, you can place the black hole in between a bunch of enemies and freeze them altogether. This will make your job of fighting them a lot easier.
There is no particular weapon required for the second slot of this build, but weapons that can deal AoE damage can be great. Some examples of these kinds of weapons are Scorching Rounds and Argus.
